I've been hungry all day

Postby finalstraw » January 24th, 2004, 2:47 pm

I am not sure this is the correct room, but here it goes.

I am on day 7, got through the first dreaded 3 days with only a headache. Today, I am starving. I am having my shakes like I am supposed to, but really having hunger pains also.

Why?

Any suggestions?

Have you tried filling up with liquids? Take an extra supplement. Take TWO extra supplements if you must. Just try not to cheat! Good luck!

I was the same at way days 5 & 6. I combated it successfully with lots of water, bullion, etc. I basically drank something CONSTANTLY. Had a couple of celery stalks. A cup of sugar free jello. And on day 6 I did a modified with 3 ounces of chicken breast and a small green salad with lemon squeezed over it. And I followed Nancy's advice to use an antiacid - sometimes stomach acid feels like hunger. This can be especially true for those of us with IBS, acid reflux and/or digestive disorders.

It DOES get better!

Day 5 and 6 were real tough for me, too! Today's 7, so I'll have to see how it goes. Yesterday was also challenging because it was my first Saturday on program - around the house cooking for the kids all day. My husband even made cookies! But I resisted!!

Had my first Chicken boullion - it was awesome! I think it is alot more filling and fulfilling than tea! Also bought some Crystal light and added it to the chocolate shake - that was awesome, too!

Thanks for all the great tips everyone!!

Days 5 and 6 were the hardest for me too. I cheated two times, each on day 5 before I finally stuck to the program. The first 3 days were never the hardest for me. It was 5&6. Just hang in there. You can do it!

Actually, I have been complaining all over the board for the last 30 minutes (just posted that somewhere else also). Anyway, I have been hungry again today, just finished some bullion, I have been absolutely craving food today - along with the hunger and preparing meals for my family, it's been a tough day.

The last post I was on was right under Sher and this has motivated me to go to bed tonight with an attitude of VICTORY!

BEING FAITHFUL TODAY, IS A TERRIFFIC FEELING TOMORROW.....

Thanks Sher :)

I have been told to try the fastsoups for snacks. I have ordered them but haven't tried any yet. Also I it has been suggested to me to be the appetite suppressant shakes to have on hand for really bad days, also have ordered but haven't tried. I origianlly started on 1/5/04 and couldn't hang in, these were the suggestions that I got.

Hope today is a better day!!

Thanks for all the replies, concern and advice. I only ordered the shakes with my first order, not really understanding everything. I plan to order a larger variety when I order next months.

I can remember going through a particularly rough patch around a week to ten days into the program. I does pass, I promise!

Boullion is my best friend on this program. I really like the Wylers chicken boullion granules. I usually have one cup a day -- two cups on the really bad days.

Going to bed early really helps too!

Hang in there and it will get easier again.
