Advice for a Re Starter?

Postby PinkPrincess » May 29th, 2007, 4:31 pm

 I am re starting MF tomorrow after falling off the wagon. I didn't have a huge starting weight loss in the 1st week last time i tried MF. Are there any tips for success to get off to a Great Start ? I would love to hear any suggestions you may have ;)
Thank You,
Jamie

Hi Jamie,

Glad to hear you are ready to go again.

Be Prepared. Get all the junk out of your pantry and don't expose yourself to any undue temptations. Stay absolutely compliant and as dmhearts said...lots of water.

I don't know what you consider a huge loss, but I think the important thing is any loss is going in the right direction! :D My first week was 4 lbs and I was happy. Just keep the big picture in mind...if you stay with the program you will get great results over time.

Good luck.

That's exactly what my suggestion was going to be (in addition to the water). ;)

Just keep those positive thoughts flowing and know what your goal is. The other thing I've noticed, is that the people who truly want this don't give up. If they make a mistake, they get right back on it instead of going off and giving up.

I also picked a week when I didn't have any social engagements or extra stressors, when I started. I wanted to get a handle on the program before I tried to eat out.

...and just know that it's going to be harder for the first 2 weeks than it was the first time around. At least it was for me. Keep your goal before you. bdg (Brian) suggested writing it down and keeping it in your pocket when you go to events so you have something tangible.

Then, just keep your head down and charge ever onward! Take it 3 hours at a time. Know that you CAN do this!

I know I'm late in coming to the party...

How's it going, Princess?
