About to start medifast

Postby gevalia » July 13th, 2008, 8:21 pm

Hi all, my name is Emma. I am going to order my first month of medifast tomorrow. I have a couple of friends who are currently on the program and are doing great. I have about 90 pounds to lose to be at my ideal weight. I am hoping Medifast will help because nothing else has!

Great to have a support forum!

Welcome. And what everyone else said. Just be sure to ask if you have any questions.

I'll be honest... the first few days can be pretty tough, but stick with it. Don't give up. Once you hit the fat burning stage it is smooth sailing to goal.

Welcome, Emma! It's great that you've got folks who are doing this program with you, too. Support is a vital key to success.

As for the smooth sailing to goal, , just remember that losing weight and changing habits are never easy processes, but they can be simple. I will say that I never thought I'd find ANYTHING that would work for me, and I feel better than I ever have! I'm certain you will, too.

Remember to read your Quick Start Guide thoroughly before you start.

The most important advice I can offer anyone who is just getting started is to stay with it. You might think that you will be able to go off the program for a special day or special event. DON'T do it!!! Even if it seems easy to start which will make you think that getting back on will be no problem. While some people can do that and get away with it, my personal experience has proven otherwise. I am sure that most people here will agree with that.

Thanks for the welcome and support. I am picking up my medifast today from a health coach and hopefully going to start tomorrow. I'm nervous but excited.

Go get 'em, Gevalia!!!

And remember, if you don't like something, you "fix" it with seasonings, etc., you can find someone on here or there locally to trade with, or you can send it back (your Health Coach can help you with that).

Let us know what you're having! I love starting my day with the cappuccino. Mike likes the oatmeal.
