Wish Bone Salad Spritzers

Postby dede4wd » May 5th, 2006, 1:33 pm

Has anyone tried these new Wish Bone Salad Spritzers? The commercials are ALL OVER THE TV...

Here's what I know:
Serving size: 10 sprays
Calories: 10
Fat calories: 10
Total fat: 1g
Total carb: 1g
sugars: 1g
Sodium 130mg

Sounds kind of yummy!

I'm pretty sure they're just low-fat salad dressing in a spritzer bottle to cut the serving size. I'd be curious about the nutrition info for a couple of tablespoons; my guess would be it'd be the same as for other dressings.

I don't eat salad often, but when I do, I just dip my fork in the dressing to reduce the serving size. Or you could just pour regular low-fat dressing into a spritzer bottle. It'd probably be more cost-effective that way.

That's so funny DeDe, I bought some last week and thought about posting about them to see if anyone else had tried them. I figured they were just new to me as I'm a little slow on trying new things. I got the Italian flavor and really like it. Salad dressing was always one of my downfalls because I always seemed to put too much on. In fact, I have avoided having salad as my green with my lean and green for that reason. I found that with the spray I get enough of the taste on all of the salad without all the extra calories with a regular dressing. 10 sprays are more than enough. I don't think I even sprayed 10 times. When I go grocery shopping this weekend I think I will pick up one of the other flavors. They definately get a positive review from me.

Cool Kristi! That's good for me because I used to DROWN everything in dressing...I've gotten over it since being on the plan...but, this interests me.

Yes, I think it's a marketing thing, and I'm sure several tablespoons is in line with the other dressings, but I think I'm going to try them just for grins!

Salad Spritzers

Postby athensmomof3 » May 11th, 2006, 8:33 am

Just bought the balsamic vinegar one - definitely has sugar in it (second or third ingredient, which I did not realize til I got home) but tastes good.

Bought it so it would be portable (packaged like I Can't Believe it is Not Butter spray), so I can take it when DH and I go out to eat.

Maybe the others have less sugar.

The Medifast dressings have 4g and 2g of sugar in them, we are allowed a little.
