Thanks Joy! As far as the first week being comfortable...not sure about that. Like anything we all start something with great intentions and Day One it all goes great. Then comes the realization on Day two that it may be a little more difficult than one imagined. I will say that having done this before I had a good idea of what I was doing. Overall week one was a success! Was I 100% compliant? No, but I also tried to minimize my discretions when i had them. At my "official" weekly weigh in this morning I had lost 6.8lbs so for me that is a great start and made the grilled chicken breast with steamed broccoli much easer to order than the "heart attack" on a plate special the waitress was promoting.

Hopefully at the end of week two the scale will be as kind to me as it was this week.

Can understand what you said - some times it is day by day for me after I have had a cheat and work to 100% on plan again. Can suck!

CONGRATS on your week 1 loss! That's super! I have found that 'compliance' means something different to each individual. Me, for example, I have been 100% compliant for 32 days now - - but I have about 1/4 of a cup of 2% milk each morning when I make my latte. I know that's not technically compliant but as long as I am losing and its not causing me to crave other things then I'm OK with it. I happen to know that if I had to totally give up that latte each morning, I would find myself cheating or feeling deprived so its my way of making the system work for me :). The first time I did MF I didn't eat off plan at all. I was a die-hard!! I'm losing now at the same rate and pace as then so I think having done this before I've learned where I can and where I can't venture out....

I hope you have a terrific week 2 and that you're able to remain comliant....whatever that may mean to you :)

Awsome job on the weight loss this week.. I totally agree with what susie says. There is one cheat I have. In my decaf coffee I have my half and half. IF i did not have that. I do not think I could do the program.

Good luck for week 2

Congratulations on your weight loss and coming back to the plan. I am so steeped in cheats I don't know how to get out of them. I am with Katie with my half and half (fat-free of course and I do stick to the 2 tablespoon serving size spread over 4 cups of coffee), but the one that keeps getting me is this instant oatmeal I found. I can't do MF oatmeal, it is vile and I would rather eat something that fills me up, tastes good, has fiber, has protein, and only has 160 calories a packet. I consider it my green maintenance bar when I eat it.

Thanks for all the kind words. Obviously I try not to cheat, but there are times that a little indiscretion can go a long way to making me not completely go off the plan. So like I said i try to minimize the damage and do the best I can. The first time on MF I followed the program very strictly. It drove my family nuts at times...so this time around I am trying to be more understanding of them as well.

Scale was kind this morning and showed I was down 10# overall. I will take what it says and use it as motivation to be compliant this week. Hope everyone is doing well!

Hi !
Just wanted to stop by and see how your'e doing.
I have been sick all last week, which will probably stall my weight loss at roll call on Sunday.
I have found that meds (especially cough syrup) can really mess up your appetite and weight loss issues.
Today , I'm trying to get everything in, on time...The water too !

Have a great day !
