Don't hate me, but I have decided to become 'one who prods and pokes'. We want to know how you are doing, wildtrk, good or bad, we want to listen to what you may have to say.

Best Wishes to you,

I didn't hear anything.

I WOULD fill out his journal for him, but I never broke the code and the random thoughts part, I can't do that!

Hi

Postby dede4wd » December 10th, 2006, 6:41 pm

I talked to him on IM today. He's super-busy, but sounds really really happy!

He's pretty close to 100lbs lost and says he'll be back posting regularly after the holidays.

He's also thrilled for those of you that reached goal! I told him all about it!

He promises to throw some random thoughts in soon!

Glad to hear Turk will reappear soon! :D (I can just picture him, streaking across the landscape, over hill and dale, feathers a-rustling, gobbling Random Thoughts!)

Inspired by Random Thoughts, here are some Curious Turkey Facts:

The American Turkey is famous for its wariness. The bird can run at speeds greater than 20 miles per hour, and it can fly, in short bursts, at speeds greater than 50 miles per hour, startling a predator. Turkeys have excellent vision and hearing. If they possessed a keen sense of smell, they would be almost impossibly elusive.

I think Turk has been using nasal booster spray. ;) We look forward to your return! :D Enjoy your New Year's!

Short Flyby...

Postby wildtrk » January 24th, 2007, 11:55 am

Can you believe it...the holiday's came and gone and we are staring February in the face.

Gosh I have been gone so long that everything looks different. I see some of the usual supects, but obviously this is a dynamic group and there are addition and subtractions with regularity.

I am jumping in just long enough to say hello and to let everyone know that I am still doing well. I fared the holidays okay, but I did go "off plan" for about 4 weeks and I obviously picked up a few pounds because of it. As of this past Monday I am back on 100% compliance and looking to pick up where I left off prior to the holiday's.

One of my New Years resolutions was to get more exercise into my life. One of the things I used to do before I got married and had the responsibility of children, a mortgage, and domestic animals, was to play racquetball 2-3 times a week. I realize that 2-3 times a week may be a little aggressive for my schedule, but I am committed to playing once a week. I have been lucky enough to get introduced to a group of people that play on Sunday mornings at a local University. So at this time I am getting at least 1 session in a week.

Random Thoughts...

When on a conference call it is important to make sure your phone microphone is muted before making a smart @ss comment about the person speaking. Or hope they don't recognize your voice. :D

Discussing economics with a 12 year old is a lot like teaching a pig to sing. It not only wastes your time, but it annoys the pig.

Whatever your budget is on a home improvement project....you should probably multiply the final number by 2 to be more accurate.

Don't assume a 12 year old knows where to sign their name on the back of a check.

Somedays my dog is the smartest person I know.

Anyone else a Kevin Smith fan? If you have to ask who he is then your probably not.

Well folks....that is all I have for now. I am sure there are a few of you that were shocked to see me poke my face in the room...honest Abe, I will try to get in a few more posts than what I have in the last 12 weeks or so.

See ya on the scale!
