Back again

Postby wildtrk » January 28th, 2010, 1:23 pm

Well, it has been awhile since I found myself here at this forum. And today I find myself somewhat sheepishly coming back and and with some trepidation posting to "My Journal." The reason for the trepedation is that I come back larger than ever and am pretty upset that I have let myself get to this point. When I left this forum way back when I had taken a serious run at my goal weight and was sitting right around 240#. Today I come back waddling through the door tipping my new scale (the old one just showed ERROR when I stepped on it) at a svelt 355#. nice huh...in basically 4 years I have gone from 327# down to 240# and then back up to 355#. Tie a big string around me, and stamp my a$$ "Duncan" because that was nothing but a huge yo-yo!

Anyway I am back and ready to do battle once again with my old foe. It is time to take back my body before it literally take's me to the grave. I look forward to posting and reading the inspirations of others again. I am going to keep my original signature and ammend to it my new numbers. I want to keep it as a reminder that I can do this, all I need to do is follow the plan.

Hey Wild,

You can do this, you did it before. Yeah does is suck that you gained weight yes, but you came back on to program and your going to get those nasty pounds off. I too have regained my 70#s and I was devastated. But I finally just dealt with it. NOw I am in for the long haul.

Have a great day. I am cheering for you :cleader:

That is my goal...we have a family trip planned to Washington DC in April. I would like to be close to 300# by then just so I can handle all of the walking that I know we will do.

Thanks! and yes I WILL do it. Getting ready to face the first weekend. This is the toughest. During the work week it is easy to stay on the program, but I do dread the weekends.

Hi, there!

I would say welcome back but that feels wrong :) I too am back again after failing to transition and letting some of the weight creep back on! One day at a time is all we can do - - or make that one OP day at at time. Last time I did this I focused on stringing together as many fully compliant days as I could and I watched the weight melt away. I KNOW WE CAN DO THIS! I'm down 15.4 in 29 completed days -- I'm already daydreaming about the end of Feb and the possibility of being close to 30 pounds gone - - that would be sweet!!

Good luck with the weekend! I hope you make it an OP one!

Do you WI on Sunday's? Maybe it would help you be compliant on the W/E if you knew your WI was at the end of it....just a thought.

GL to you.

Ha...I WI about 5 times a day it seems like. But typically my official WI is on Monday mornings. I am in a mini weight loss challenge at work and we report on Monday's how we did.

Oh BTW....been gone awhile so I have been seeing some new acronyms. OP???? (I am thinking "on program") can some one help a brother out on that one.

hey trk! glad to see you back with us altho the circumstances suck! What matters is that you took it upon yourself to recognize u needed to be here and took the step to come back for the support. So many of us are doing the same thing. You and i are definitely in the same boat with the weekends, they have always been my weakness too. It's a double edged sword for me, i love the end of a work week but on the MF front, it is a little more difficult. For some reason it's so much easier to take all the mf food to work and stick to it, when the weekend comes, i guess there are too many options out there. However, after my slip up last weekend, this weekend is seeming pretty easy. Then again, the weight loss for this week is an inspiration too. RE weighing ~ 5 times a day???? U and susieQ can have that one. If i did that, i would be ready to jump off of the MF bridge and hope i splatter on the MF train tracks  I weight myself first thing in the morning since i know that will be my lowest weight. I refuse to even brush my teeth first for fear of swallowing a drop of water and increasing my scale reading! I think it would probably depress me to see the scale climb during the day even if my calorie/carb intake are just fine. I drink plenty of water and the scale would reflect that. I wish you the best and we are all gonna do this!
