Warning!

Postby Shana » April 20th, 2006, 6:42 pm

If anyone gets the bright idea to combine Diet Dr Pepper Cherry Vanilla with a Vanilla Shake, do not, I repeat DO NOT be stupid enough to use the SHAKER JAR to mix them, unless you want a Medifast shower, exercise from scrubbing your kitchen floor, walls & counter and your THIRD shower of the day *sigh*

Yes, I did laugh at my own stupidity as SOON as I put the lid on the shaker! Well... I laughed after I wiped the mix out of my eyes & off of my face... I also remembered that someone wrote a post saying not to mix soda with shakes in the shaker jar after I was covered with goop. Go figure lol

I hadn't even started shaking yet!!!! It was the act of putting the LID on the dumb thing!!!

So I guess if I ever decide I'd like to taste it like that I'll have to use the blender... Glad I could save you from having to learn the lesson the hard way! Lol

Ohhhh,
Another victim. Yup, I did it too!! Except I used of all things a chocolate shake. Hmmmmm my kitchen has white tile with white grout. I got lots of exercise scrubbing that day too!!! I think we do these things while functioning on "auto pilot"

Oh yes, I thought it was hilarious as soon as it happened - I wasn't thrilled with the need to wash my hair again at 930pm or the need to scrub my kitchen again, but I was laughing at myself the whole time I cleaned.... and then I had to call people & tell them of my "stupidity" I mean, Hello! It started fizzing as soon as I added the shake - what did I think was going to happen? lol

At least I'm an official medifaster, part an elite club of medifast soda shakers!

And dede, you need to get on the ball & find some pictures with your fur babies! :)

Well, if you needed to clean the floor you could always put regular liquid dishwashing detergent in the dishwasher...makes about 3 kitchen floorfuls of bubbles before the cycle is over...

We all make mistakes!!!

Momjackielee, What a great way to clean the floor! I'll try it soon.LOL. In my case it might be the only way it gets clean as it is very rustic satillo tile with lots of places to trap dirt and I can come up with any excuse not to do it! ;) I tried the shake and pop trick a long time ago. Unfortunately it was in the car. My latest new invention was soup. I carefully added bullion, garlic, spices, a celery stick, a little salsa, couldn't think of anything else, and so I nuked it. I thought it was a little watery. Thats when I realized I got so involved in adding the extras I forgot to put the medifast soup in!

Ha ha! I did that with mixing root beer and vanilla. It was a tasty shower, though.
