ALICIA,

Gorgeous avatar and pretty name.
When it gets better, and it will, you'll wonder why all the problems.
I personally had no problem at all, but many do.
As someone said, think of it as medicine at first...you are curing a health/weight problem.
You'll be so glad you did!
Welcome to the fold,

Lizabette

Well - I'm on Day 5 and I'm thrilled to say that you all were SO right!! (of course) I had faith in you all anyway, but it's so nice to see for myself!! THANK YOU ALL for keeping me motivated!

The oatmeals now taste like any other I've ever eaten - I don't notice the soy protein smell anymore!! In fact I just had to sniff it and was shocked that there is none! The shakes are still taking me a bit to get used to - not the smell, just the flavor. I think the chocolate is my fave so far. I'm too scared to try the orange after strawberry on day1, but I'll try it Friday. I do use a straw, but find it takes longer to get down and for now the faster the better with the shakes!

Puddings are rather good - I prefer chocolate to banana, but the banana is getting better. The soups have all been pretty good, and have needed minimal seasoing to tweak them. I haven't found a bar I don't like yet. I tried the lemon last night and it was iffy at first, but by the end it was like eating a real lemon bar! (of course the choc. mint was the opposite - yummy at the start and not so yummy by the end)

SO - 4 whole days down and I'm LOVING it!! SO anxious to weigh Sunday and see how my first week went. I can't tell that there has been much change so far, clothes-wise, but we'll see...

I also ran to Macy's the other night and grabbed thier last Magic Bullet, after reading it's praises here and it's so nice to have!!

Congrats so far! I am soooo happy you have passed the taste shock stage! Whhoooo hoooo! I never knew Macy's carried the "Magic B", I went to Ward Center (As Seen On TV store) and they were out of stock. I ended up ordering it on-line - it took forever. I actually have two MB's one for home and one for work. Shelia, who is also from Oahu, mentioned that on the third Thursday of every month Castle hospital has support meetings for MF. I missed last month, but I think I will try to make it to this one. Shelia said people trade, and can try new MF products!

Hi! I'm glad that you are getting past the taste. I am also on my 5th day of MF, and have no problems with the taste, but I have only had the shakes and bars and puddings and oatmeals. No soups or chilis.

By the way, my name is also Alicia, but I have gone by Allie since I was a child.

I'll be watching for your posts since we started on the same day. Good luck and keep shakin'

I'm so glad you're enjoying it more. It's funny how quickly our palates adjust, isn't it?

I got my Bullet at Walgreens. Because I wanted it immediately, and they were open when I got off work that night (it was a 24-hour Walgreens).

I'm glad it is better for you now. I love the orange shake and the strawberry is ok. It reminds me of the barium I had when I had an upper GI done. That isnt good tho.

I got my bullet from ebay. It helps so much.
