Soy protein content of different Medifast products

Postby betz » October 4th, 2005, 4:40 pm

I know the shakes have the most soy protein but can someone (unca?) give me a run down on the other products? I'm interested mostly in the soups (not fast), chili, oatmeals and bars.

Do some products have no soy?

Is the alternative protein whey protein?

If there's a site that lists all the info in one place, I'll be glad to just navigate to it. I looked at the main Medifast site but the info doesn't distinguish between soy protein and other protein.

I ask because I'm convinced the soy has relieved some menopause symptoms (yay!) and I want to be sure I get at least 3 soy MF meals a day.

Thanks in advance-- I hope it's not too much trouble.

Hi Betz,
Here's a couple PDF's for you:

Medifast Product Nutrition Guide

Medifast Medifast Product Profile

Holler, if that doesn't answer your question...:)

Ah, perfect! Thanks for your help, Vicky.

I think that's what I would have guessed (SO glad the chili and regular non-cream soups are in there) except for the chai latte.

Right now since the regular shakes are working for me (non-symptomatic) I figure I'll keep using them as they're cheaper. I've thought, though, that if symptoms reoccur I'll try the "women's shakes".

Unca--thanks! That is exactly the kind of database I was sure existed somewhere. I've got the Product Profile but the Nutrition Guide answers all my questions. I just love that Adobe Acrobat :)
