Thanks Sue..you're sweet :) I am such an "emotional eater" that I really have to stay aware. But I am in my 3rd week and down 13 pounds, I refuse to start over.

Good job on the emotional eating. It takes a lot of work and practice, but it really CAN get better. After getting through my brother's heart attack without thinking about food, I'm starting to think I just might be a FORMER emotional eater.

Good for you Robin! That is such a feat for you to overcome emotional eating...I am still a work in progress. :)

You mean there is hope?? A former emotional eater? You mean I might be able to some day say: "Hi, my name is Sue and I am a former emotional eater?" Oh that would be wonderful. Emotional is my middle name... Robin you are always an inspiration.

Yeah, I really do think it's possible. I'm still a work in progress, too, but that was a MAJOR success for me. And trust me, I was pretty darn bad. I still remember back when I was maybe 15 and my dad had eye surgery. My mom called from the hospital because he had some kind of heart incident on the table. I called my brother to let him know, and then without even thinking made myself two hot dogs. And then two more. When my mom went into the hospital and I was alone at her house that first night, I ate the entire bucket of Popeye's fried chicken that I found in her fridge, plus whatever sides. I just couldn't stop myself.

Oh Robin - I can't believe you mentioned Popeye's chicken...that is my absolute favorite...it is also why I weigh over 200 pounds. LOL Everyday that I don't drive through there is a success in itself :)

Day 18 - I'm VERY frustrated with my body right now. I passed out on the desk again yesterday....blood sugar got too low. My doctor told me that I have to eat more so I am adding some apple sauce into my diet. I am scared that it will mess up my weight loss, but she says that my body is trying to tell me something and I need to listen to it (and her!). Anyway, I am going to continue forward....someone I work with told me yesterday that I "look" healthier already so that gives me more incentive to keep going.

Now, another 900 point rise in the Dow and I might just start feeling better about everything!

Cindy - sorry about your episode yesterday, it sounds pretty scary. I hope you are able to figure this all out without having to stop MF.

I hope things at work go well for you today.

I'm pretty happy. I only lost .5 pound last week, but with all the sugar issues and extra carbs I had to consume, I'm just glad there was a loss and not a gain. I didn't have to take one drop of insulin over the weekend, so I guess that just shows me that what and how I eat really does effect my health.

The low sugar passing out seems to be fixed as well. I am eating SOMETHING every two hours and since I started that, everything has been A-OK. Hopefully I can stay perfectly on plan this week and have another good loss.

Glad to hear you think you've resolved the problem, Cindy. But make whatever modifications you need to. Your health is more important than any diet.

I'm guessing with the election Tuesday, the market will be going crazy. WhoEVER wins.

Yoo hoo, Cindy Lou Who. Where are you? And are you OK, or still having blood sugar problems?

Wow. That's excellent about the insulin (um, and about not passing out!!).

I'm doing great. Although right now I'm wondering why in the world I keep insisting on buying yogurt when I really don't like the stuff.

That is terrific that you are off insulin!!! Congratulations! And hey, two pounds gone on top of all that? I hope you're feeling happy about that, too. :D
