Tried my first shake

Dutch Chocolate

I wasn't as thrilled with the flavor as i was hoping to be.

Oh well, it is worth feeling good!

Hi David, welcome to MF and the Forum.

I am not a fan of the powdered shakes at all, although I do occasionally 'force' them down. The 'ready-to-drink' shakes are so much better and so convenient as a 'take-along'.

If you look in the Lean Cuisine section, you can find many ways to 'doctor' up the shakes. Products like DaVinci Sugar-Free syrups are popular, as well as cinnamon and the like.
Just go to the top of the page, and hit 'Search" and type in shake or shake recipes, and there is a wealth of info there.

Best of luck with the program and reaching your goals! :D

I was hoping that would be the case! I have some cooling in the fridge.

You have other flavors - I did not like the Dutch chocolate until I added peppermint or caramel sugar free syrup. I love the banana creme the best. Strawberry is okay too. Good luck - keep expermenting - try one of each thing this first week to see what you like.

I llike the RTD's much better. They don't have the funny taste the powder ones do.

Medifast is sooo "personal"....I can't stand the RTDs; they are too sweet. I am looking to get rid of mine. Glad you like the RTDs so you can stick with those! :D

I absolutley love the shakes....there aren't any I don't like. It could be the way you are makin' um. If you have a magic bullet or blender, add 7oz of water and at least 5-6 cubes of ice and blend for a while. Yummy like a shake should taste! I have a vita-mix so you can blend it so it's almost like ice cream....yum!

I never drink it any other way unless I'm desperate. If I'm out and about without a blender, I take pudding, or a bar.

after being on the plan since 7/31, I finally broke down & fought my "cheap" tendencies & bought a case of Vanilla RTDs. I did this cos 9/30 started a new term of SAT classes I take, and didn't want to worry about cold water for shakes. Wow, I was impressed. I think it is yummy and worth the extra $.

Hang in there dkearby. I was suffering with hunger for at least a week when starting. I now experience the struggle to get all my 5 supplements in sometimes.
Going to restart Jun 2009, been gone since after surgery Oct06. Can't wait !

If you like chocolate, but don't like the dutch chocolate shake, I actually prefer the taste of the "hot chocolate" better.... you don't have to make it hot, just mix it like a shake. I think its made with the whey protein instead of the soy.

Good luck with your weight loss... keep trying different things, you'll eventually find the things you like the best! Its worth it in the end!!

I accidentally made the chocolate pudding as a shake once, because I didn't read the package. It was yummy!!

Wait till you accidentally make an oatmeal or chicken soup shake. Ugh.
