Please move me to the 60# club. Thank you!

That is great. If I can't get out of this stall, even walking 3 miles a day, you will finally catch me! You are .5 behind me in reaching goal weight! Let's make Jo proud of us! I think I am due about a 4.5 or 5 pound week.

Happy to report two things today.
1. Except for a little extra protein a couple of days, I have been perfect on the program now for 3 weeks the longest ever even when I lost 60lbs last time.
2. I am down 6.8 this week putting me into the 20 lb club even though I hope that it is only for a week I am there

Good morning:

I'm only weighing in every 10 days on my 100 day challenge (my first being yesterday with an 11 lb loss) but it sure is fun to come here and see all your successes, so I'm just here to cheer you on!

Everyone here is amazing whether it's
-just getting started
-1/2 way to goal
-very, very close to goal (I admit, I can't wait for that ;) )
-maintaining (I really can't wait for that!!!)

And it's nice to see ktrout and big ron back to make their life and body a healthy one. And you have llrickman here to motivate you further. Go guys go!!!

Keep up the great work everyone. I love it!!!

llrickman wrote: im confused. Not that im complaining but how come i will stay consistent losing 5.4, 5.6 lbs a week for a few weeks then i will have a week where i lost maybe 2 or 3 then the next week it is 7-10 then goes back to around 5 a week for a whle. Is it just my body adjusting every so often?

Yep, its the law of averages. As you notice with lots of people on here, they will lose big, then nothing, then small , then back to big. Our bodies tend to evaluate itself periodically (against our will of course). Great going though.

Down 2.8 lbs this week. Walked about 7 miles with the dog and one workout on the elliptical too.

Best wishes to all.

Hey, Folks ~

So happy to read your great reports.

I rejoice with you Tawanda – welcome to the 60 Pound Club!
Oh, boy! :sheepjump: I am very proud of you. :woohoo:

:bravo: llrickman, super week – 90 Pound Club and how  cool to have such a big drop this particular week, too. Sure wish we could figure out the wily way our body works! Our body is put into a state of :whattha: stress when we are in the weight loss phase and many processes are occurring as it converts the stored fat to energy, releases the metabolized fat, readjusts, rejuvenates itself, etc. Our blood pressure, cholesterol levels, etc. are all affected and the body is adjusting itself to temperature changes, etc. Sometimes it needs to rest and gear up for another weight dump.

Mickey and Mike, super!

 Kudos to you all for checking in and sharing your week. Some of you had record-breaking first weeks. Cool! :water: Makes drinking all that water worth it!

Accountability is an important part of weight management. In my formerly flabby life, I would show up at the weekly meetings for a month or so and be gung-ho, I’d follow my diet, become over-confident and then my attendance became :couch: sporadic and then non-existent. Somehow I used to think if I stayed off the scale and did not see the number, it did not exist. :dohdoh: I really needed the reinforcement and accountability of the group but I failed to follow-through and then I failed to reach my goal.

Are you like me? You feel bummed when you’ve totally followed the program, exercised most days and then the scale won’t even blink? Then feel so thrilled when the scale slides south and somehow you pulled off scarfing a handful of cashews and the scale seemed blind?

I must have had a :wallwall: head-whack or somethin’ ‘cuz now I know that weekly reportage is valuable.

Sometimes I used to feel like I had to be accountable for so many things at work and school, that I was deadline-driven and the child in me wanted to shout, :deadhorse: “You’re not the boss of me!” and I would rebel, climb down from the pyramid of good eating habits and do my own thing.
No more. I am done with that; keeping track daily or weekly (or some of you are able to do it monthly) helps to keep us in line. :whip:

I appreciate you for reporting when the scale goes up, too. Gulp! By doing so, it means your weight and health matter to you.

You are an amazing group of people. We live in a fat-promoting environment and you are to be commended for your efforts at weight control. You inspire me!

Hi Gina! Way to go! The first few weeks are usually the hardest for me, then once I get into a rhythm, I can just keep in cadence with it...Let's march together!
