It was a sweet treat to find you had visited my journal! You always leave encouragment and support and I am grateful that you do!

I fell behind my posts and entries for my journal, with one kid in swim team practice each night my schedule looks like I could use a strong cup of tea!

I am sending you hopes for a simply lovely day and even better weekend!

:roflmao: I thought from the beginning that you were singing about yourself! :roflmao:

And even crazier...we all know that i had NEVER heard any of those songs before and lo and behold, last night, my son and i were searching songs to download ringers to our cell phones and one of the ones that popped up was the song about tequila and pants falling off. HOW COINCIDENTAL WAS THAT? Even crazier, we were not searching for tequila or country songs, i don't know WHY it even came up. So, now i can say that i HAVE heard it before (or at least PART of it!).

Duuuuuuude. I'm right here!
Thanks for missing me, Katie!

I've been lurking some, but it's a really
busy time for me. Again.

Did I mention that I'm graduating at the end of next month?
Summa Cum Laude, babeeee!!!

Oh, and did I mention that I got accepted into grad school?
Cool, huh? Yeah, that begins in the fall. The process was a
little involved! It was very competitive, with only 22 spots
available and 150+ applicants! Letters of recommendation
and personal thesis statements and interviews and
yada, yada, yada... Whew!

Oh, and did I mention that I've been asked to be the student
commencement speaker at my ceremony next month?
Actually, I've made it through to the final round. I'm gonna' need
y'all's MOJO on Wednesday (the 23rd). That's when I have to present
my speech to the selection committee. This will be more anxiety-provoking
than delivering the speech to the estimated audience of 6000 people.
Those folks will just be listening to the speech, the committee will
be judging the speech and my presentation, too! I'll be fine
with not being selected, it really is just an honor to have been asked.
It would totally rock though, wouldn't it? So... yeah... MOJO ME!!

I'll send my Mojo to you right away, along with feeding instructions. Just keep a shovel handy to scoop up the carnage she leaves behind. And don't forget to sprinkle Parmesan cheese on her food.

Seriously, congrats, Sojo.

Robin, Mike, Mizz T, OC, and Diana ~ thanks for stopping by my place and for the congrats!

Well... I did not make the final cut for the speech thing, but as corny as it sounds, it really was an honor just to have been asked and to make it as far as I did in the selection process. I'm a little disappointed, but not crushed or anything. Truth be told, I'm also a little relieved ~ one less thing that needs attending to, y'know?

On the MF front, it's all systems go! Just shakin' it gone, babeee! I still have not weighed, but I'm pretty sure I'm about back to where I was. The fit of my clothes tell the whole story. Uh, yeah ~ and the reappearance of them glorious neckbones! 8) Onward and downward. I'll get on the scale eventually, I'm just not feelin' it right now. :dunno: Oh, I should check my measurements too, huh?

I'm glad to see things finally picking up around here (no thanks to me!). And, boy-oh-boy... the workout bug seems to have bit quite a few of you losers. Lucky. I do what I can, and have actually been treadmilling pretty regularly. I need to figure out how to do arm work adaptively - my shoulder is still an issue so even the wall and counter push ups are difficult. What a wuss, huh? I think I'll check out that website that Robin mentioned (somewhere)... hey, Rob! What was it again? I'll post in your journal...

Hasta, y'all!

You are so right! I actually was selected as the speaker at my commencement in 2006 and it was definitely a lot of extra stress, but such an honor to be nominated. Congratulations on all you have accomplished. May is a busy month! I'm glad you're still with it and had a chance to drop in and visit us.

If you want to avoid the scale, definitely take some measurements! I took my first set last night since restarting MF a month ago and unless I am crazy and forgot how to use a tap measure I'm down 2.5" on my hips and 2" at the waist. Who doesn't love that? :D

Which one, Sojo? push dot tv is the one with the DVDS; exrx dot net is the one with the little videos of different lifts, plus a list of exercises for each muscle group.

And welcome back!! (I was talking to your clavicle!)
