Silly question

Postby Zinkette99 » June 21st, 2006, 3:22 pm

This is random but...

I have always been busty. Not in a bad way, I have always been a big C or (in the past 6 months) a D. I have always been glad to have boobs. They are great accesories.

Will Medifast cause me to lose them? Have there been women who were busty pre-Medifast and not-so-buxom Post-Medifast?

Hi Zinkette! :) Well, I don't know if every woman is different (probably), but when I started my weight loss journey, I was a 44DD  . Anyway, I had to throw out all my old bras (14  ) and bought two new ones (42D). I started on the last clasp on the new bras, and am to the middle one now. I ham hoping I don't get too small, but I am mostly concerned about my health. I have considered trying these new "get big breasts" supplements once I get to my goal weight if I think it necessary. I will NEVER consider surgery. I stopped going to a Dr. once when he told me I should get stomach surgery to lose weight :x. I hope this helped, even a little :)

Hugs,

Keturah

I was wondering this as well.

I am a 44DD now however I have been blessed with my personal floatation devices since I was 12 so I wouldn't think I would lose all of them when I lose weight. Or at least I hope not.

I admit I am looking into some lifting afterwards though. We shall see!

Hi

Postby dede4wd » June 21st, 2006, 4:31 pm

I was a B when I was thin...

I was a large C when I was Fat

I'm now a B again...I'd rather be thin and healthy, so I'll deal with it! I'll miss the cupcakes, but I'm THRILLED with the rest of my progress!

I pretty much guarantee that you will be less busty after Medifast. Any method you use to lose weight will have this effect. (Unless your cupcakes are all silicone!) But, if you have always been fairly busty for your body size, you won't suddenly turn into Olive Oil.

I have always been fairly busty myself. Last time I was my goal weight, I was a C. When I started Medifast, I was 40DD, and straining the DD at that. I don't know what I am now, but I have to go in a rung on my band and tighten the straps on all my current bras. I am looking forward to being a C again or maybe even a big B.

Just think: No more buying bras based on tensile strength! No more ugly minimizer 1950's contraptions! No more gaping buttons down my front. No more spilling over my cups and getting the dreaded "quadra-boobs". I may even be able to wear a strapless bra and not have the thing be a complete mockery of Victoria Secret engineering. Here's to smaller cupcakes! Wooo!

Ditto to what DeDe said. Fat: large C Thin: small B

I'm still fat, but I'm just a regular C right now. I don't care if I lose some, just DON'T want to end up an A....don't think that'll happen. I've been thin 3 times in the past ten years and didn't get smaller than a B.

When I was fat I wore a DD BUT it was too small and I should have went bigger.

4 years ago I had a breast reduction and went to a B cup. (LOVE IT). After having huge breasts and all the problems that went along with that a B cup was soooo nice.

Anyway after losing almost 50 lbs now I still look the same and still wear a size B cup.

I've been a DD or bigger since I was a teenager. Didn't lose it when I lost the weight; in fact, I was more self-conscious when I was thinner because I was so top-heavy. I was something like a 32DD. Or bigger.

I did have a breast reduction, back in '95. Best thing I ever did, and my only regret was not doing it sooner. (BTW, if you ever decide to do it, the best way to find a surgeon is to talk to breast cancer survivors. A friend of mine was in several support groups, and the women had discussed pretty much all the surgeons in the area. And, as she told me at the time, she'd actually seen their work.)

I'm now a 34C, FYI. I really would have liked to go smaller, but he couldn't do it.

Oh goodness, Lauraly. "Quadraboobs?" I nearly snorted chicken noodle soup out my nose over my desk. Heehee.

DogMa, here's a somewhat delicate question about your surgery. I've thought about it, but I heard that it reduces your sensitivity, or even eliminates it, making intimacy much less...um...thrilling. Did you have any problems with that?

I had heard that, and I gather it does happen to some people. Didn't with me, though, I'm happy to report.

What I loved is not only did I instantly stop having daily backaches and ridges in my shoulders from the bra straps digging in, but the girls were SO perky afterward. After years of having 'em hang down to my waist just from the sheer weight of 'em, it was great!

The only drawback was that I wore vests every day for about a year after the surgery. After years and years of wishing I could wear vests when I was younger but never being able to button them, I was so excited about fitting into them that I was a bit of a fashion disaster for a while there.

A couple months ago, I had to go get measured because my bras were all wonky and gaping around the armpit and just not attractive. So to VS I went....I went from a 40C to a 38D (they're the same cup size)....now these are getting weird on me, but I'm going to stick it out until I get to goal because $40 a bra isn't easy. But long story short, my boobs haven't shrunk... which I'm GLAD about. :)
