Should I start the full fast?

Postby MissyK » October 7th, 2005, 2:33 am

Help!!! I need some support and suggestions!!!

I can't stay on the plan when I incorporate the lean and green. I am tempted to eat more later. The bars, especially, make me crave more food :x . I did a day with just shakes and BOY did I feel good 8) .

I'm looking for some motivation...and I think an accelerated weight loss would do the trick. Don't we all agree ;) ???

Does anyone know if one loses more on the full fast? Anybody with this experience?

THANK YOU!

PS I am under LOTS of pressure to lose, because my dance partner is willing to take more private lessons (at $60/hour) with me to prepare for our next dance competition. He keeps pointing out my weight gain, and I want to prove it to him that I can look good again, ASAP!

Missy....... :D .....take a DEEP BREATH and RELAX...............try not to put added stress into your weight loss.............if you follow the plan as it is ..........you will lose...........the complete should only be done under the supervision of a doctor...... ......and with all your dancing your weight could stall if not given the right amount of calories.............personnaly...... .....I don't believe the complete lose any faster than the 5&1.................I was on complete for 6 months and there really was no difference for me.................you have to do what's best for you....... :secret: .....talk to your health advisor............they will be alot of help..........keep shaking

Full Fast

Postby Jan » October 8th, 2005, 8:21 am

Hi Missy,
Donna is right. My experience too is that those on the full fast lose at about the same rate as the rest of us. Plus, you will need to be supervised by your Dr.
You don't have to have the bar everyday or even at all. YOu can do the five and one program just drinking the shakes. The weight will come off. I know you've heard this many times but it still is true -- you didn't gain the weight overnight and you won't lose it overnight. What you will do on this program, is lose it as quickly and safely as possible . :D
Soon you will be a "thin" dancer again.

Missy - I started out on the full fast and swithed to 5&1 - I was eating one bar a day, oatmeal, 2 shakes and chilli with crackers and my 1. My wt loss had slowed. I gave up the bars and replaced my chilli and crackers with a shake. It sped up my wt loss again. I believe some people are more sensitive to carbs than others and the carbs in the products vary. I would still eat your one but use as many shakes a possible and ditch the bars - I miss them but not the pounds. Good luck, Mytime

Hi Missy,

I usually do the 5/1. Like you, I wondered if the fast would speed up weight loss. I tried it and my loss actually stopped!

I'm not suggesting this is true for everyone but I don't think that a full fast is the magic you're looking for. You really just need to stick with the program and let time do its thing. :)

Best wishes.
