Had kind of a creepy day at work - my land "lady" (lady used loosely - and who also happens to be my sister-in-law but the kind that has no idea of the word "family" ) called me about our rent etc...caught me completely off guard but I guess she finagled the # out of someone!0 anyway, it woul dhave been a trigger for eating, but it wasnt :) thought of everyone here and how I didn't want to let you all down...thanks so much!

And Laura - You look wonderful! Love your avi!!!

Thank you Patty.

I think it's great you're already starting to identify your eating "triggers". That is what I'm doing. I'm trying to identify them and come up with ways to beat them when They happen.

No one wants to blow it on a Friday!! Weigh-in is on Sunday. LOL

keep up the good work!!

Thanks for stopping by everyone...just had a busy week with work last week - noth end, quarter end - yikes! But hanging in there...trying very hard to make it a habit

Making plans to go see my Mom for the last time in Aug with my daughter. I am a wreck about it because I am not prepared for how she will look and act but we are going and my daughter's needs to see her as well. I told her the situation and she pretends to understand -she will be 6 at the end of Aug :) we will do OK though thinking about flying with her makes me nervous! We will only stop one time each way so that will help and I will work the entire time while there to keep the $$ coming in...we are still waitng on DH's unemployment - they had 45 days to make a decision on his appeal and it will be over either way next week. Our "landlords" aka BIL and SIL (though "related" they may as well be strangers) have given us a cut-off for eviction, so will be an interesting month or so...

Just trying to think about what I can control at this point which is my food intake ....

Thanks so much everyone - so glad you are here!

You sound very brave! And you are right, sometimes it does help to have something to control when there are so many things we can't control. On really OOC days, I know I have MF.

Oh Patty,
You are going through so much.

You should be so proud of yourself for sticking with Medifast and losing weight during all this stress. I'd be doing so much stress eating.

I'll be praying and keeping you in my prayers as you go through all of this.

Keep going!!
God Bless,
Laura

Patty, what a great way to look at things....you are controlling what you eat and right now that is one of the things that you do have control over. Hold on tight to that blessing.

You obviously have a job that you can do away from home? There is another blessing. I hope things begin working out better for you & your family soon. Perhaps moving, although not ideal, will be a blessing in the end if you don't get along with with the relatives that you rent from right now.

Hi Patty,

I agree with the other ladies that you are doing a terrific job of handling these stressful times. I hope the unemployment comes through soon and that you and your family won't have to move. I also hope that the trip to see your mom brings you some peace.

You sound like such a strong lady. Take care of yourself.

H Patty - so sorry to hear that you are going through so many difficult things right now. I too am going through some difficult things but now they seem so small and insignificant compared to yours. I started MF because I knew I was entering a stressful and trying year and I typically turn to food. I thought if I could control one thing it could be my weight - and losing the weight has been a great reward. Things have been a little shaky for me since May with my health - which I hope to put behind me after this week. I hope things get better for you soon.
