I got a HUGE Christmas present to myself this past week.

I am officially no longer a Lane Bryant Chick!!

I can wear 14/16 tops and 16/18 jeans from the Regular Side of a store now! I actually walked into Gap--tried on a few sizes and the ones above were the ones that fit..and they didnt have a W beside the number!!

And if THAT wasnt a good enough present...

I had soo many compliments at our family dinners(of which we have a more than plenty this time of year) that my head was spinning. I honestly am not used to compliments so one of my New Years R's is to work on saying .. "Why Thank You & Smile"...Instead of.."Hmm Thanks I still have a long way to go."

Craig said that even his cousins wife who many yrs ago right after I had Eli made the comment "If I get fat like she did after having our baby Matthew would leave me"((Needless to say we are not close)) Commented more than once to him and others @ them how good I was looking

That is not a small victory, it's a huge one!!! I can relate to the happiness of shopping in a regular store. I haven't been able to do that since college. And I NEVER enjoyed it. Congratulations!!!

Now, I've seen this term a lot and I have to confess ignorance - what's an NSV?

YAY for kicking Lane Bryant to the curb! When it happened to me, I couldn't believe how much money I used to spend at LB for stuff I only kind of liked!

In my whole 4-5 year history of fatdom, I have purchased 3 or 4 things at LB that were not shoddily made, a season behind trend and something I will miss getting too small for...that store gets worse every year.
