newbie for the second time

Postby rian » August 30th, 2007, 7:38 am

Hi all!!
I am doing medifast for the 2nd time. The first time I did it, I lost 30lbs and have kept 25 of them off for about 6 months. I have 36 more to lose.

My mom was hospitalized on monday of this week due to a heart attack. Seeing her there in the ER, I decided that I would do what ever it takes to be healthy. This was a real wake up call for both of us. My mom is doing ok. She had a stent put in and will be coming home today, but it was an extremely scary experience.

So, with new determination and dicipline, I begin MF again today. So far so good. I had the hot cocoa and am having a large cup of decaf coffee now. I also drank a liter of water already.

Good for you Rian on starting up again. It sounds like with your positive attitude and past experience with Medifast you are off to a strong start!

I'm sorry your mom had to go through all that and hope the stent will take care of her artery problem. I have a friend with a stent and it has worked very well for her. Welcome to the forum!

Hi Rian...Welcome back!

I am sorry to hear about your Mom. My Mom had a similar experience in 2003 and had 2 stents put in. She has been doing really well since, but I know how scary that can be.

I also did MF in 2 rounds. The 1st time was 2004 I lost about 45 lbs and kept off 30. Now I'm at it again and have lost 43 lbs in four and a half months. I knew it worked and came back to it and it has worked again! :D

I'm sure you'll be very successful with your 36 lbs.
Reached Goal Nov 2007 61.5 lbs lost
Gained 11 lbs in Mexico 3/08, decided to lose that along with another 5 lbs!
