Newbie saying Hi!

Postby MissElizabeth » May 19th, 2006, 12:53 am

Hello all,

I've been on the plan for 3 days now and I'm feeling great! No cravings or hunger (in fact it's been really difficult to fit in all the meals so far) and I feel really motivated and excited by MF. I did alot of research before I started MF and I have to say that this site was really wonderful with facts and figures and the forums too...an invaluable resource and I've checked in every day to see whats new. Haven't weighed myself yet, I'm really trying to hold off for the week to see what happens.

I'm an expat aussie who has been living in Seattle for almost 6 years now. I'm turning 40 next month (which I'm really flipping out about) and have decided it's time for a change..so here I am!

I've loved reading all your supportive messages and looking at everyones pictures...you're all truly inspirational!!
Elizabeth

Hey there Mz Liz!

We started this almost at the same time! Bloody hell we will be doing this neck and neck! I work with an aussie, and I swear some of the flavor of your lingo has crept into mine!

Best of luck - and it's all good.......

Hello!

Glad you joined the party. We all get to that point where we decide thats it, I've had it and need to make a change. It is great that you have decided MF was for you. I love the program. In no time you will be losing weight.

Hmmm
You all sound exactly like my husband. Each decade freaks him out. I just tell him to "Be Happy" and consider the alternative which is not sooo great  I'm planning on being around here a long long time -- after all my Dad lived to be 100 :D

Hi Elizabeth! Welcome! You are in what I have found to be the MOST exciting phase of this plan. I was alittle scared and worried at 1st when I began, but only 9 days into it.....WOW...lost 13 lbs. I wish the loss kept up that consistant all through out, but I think that initial loss is alot of water weight too, that I had been carrying around for awhile. You and I were about the same starting weight, have nearly the same goal. I am halfway there, and look at each day as being just a little closer to the end of my journey. Glad you are here so we can help each other along the way.
