newbie, doing MF again

Postby medimama » August 10th, 2006, 6:24 pm

I used medifast about three years ago ... did it for about two months - cheated a LOT, and lost 20lbs still! I went from about 220lbs to about 200lbs ... went back to old eating habits and gained it back pretty quick! Well, three years later I'm even heavier, 242lbs and I'm only 5'2"!!!!!!!! It's awful, so I decided to try medifast again ... but this time, I want to do it right! So, I found this site - I need support BIG time and really enjoy reading the posts! Keep me in your prayers and I know you'll all be encouraging ... so glad to have y'all this time around!

Hi there,
First welcome to our group. You'll make it. Be sure and read the Quick start booklet several times. The best policy is "if it's not in the quick start booklet it doesn't go in the mouth" We all learn as we go and now you have a whole new set of skills to use. We'll help. I have a friend who started at 348 (she's 5'1") She is well below 200 now. I am sooo happy for her. You'll be parting with the pesky pounds soon also.
I'll be watching for you.

Welcome! Be sure to post any questions you have.

And don't worry about the starting weight. We all have to start somewhere. You'll be in "Onederland" before you know it.

Welcome!!

You have found the right combination: MediFast and this forum. You give it your all, we give you our all, and all your extra weight just melts away. The people here are awesome, courageous, inspiring, and very, very supportive. Some have open arms 24/7, and some are no nonsense and will kick you in the butt when you need it. It's a great balance and works perfectly for me. I hope it works for you, too.

You can do this, you just have to make up your mind that you want to succeed--the choice is yours, you just have to choose it.

WELCOME! Much success is wished for you this time around. Get into a 'losing mindset', picture yourself happy and thin, and focus exactly on what your Quick Start Guide tells you to do and what NOT to do, and after you get past week one, totally compliant and drinking all your water, bets are on that you will continue this time, all the way to goal! Have faith in yoursel and in your power!!

Hey Medimama! You found the best place to be... on this forum!
I'm a returnee also and it's been great this time around. I'm 5'2" also and started at 170lbs. I'm so excited to be down 9.5lbs as of this morning (.5 more till my first 10lbs.) It's great!

Congratulations on deciding on coming back to Medifast.... I know you'll love it here! :cheermed:

Aloha! :ukulele:

Hi Medimama,

Welcome back.

I too lost 60+ lbs. with MF starting in March of 2005. I've kept off 1/2 of it, but I never reached goal, and I did gain 1/2 of it back.

So I've recommitted today to reach my goal and STICK TO MF ALL THE WAY TO GOAL!!!

Keep checking in here.
Stick to the plan.
See you at goal. :D
