I'm a newbie and I'm ready to shrink

Postby Adriana » May 18th, 2006, 7:43 pm

Hello everyone. My name is Adriana and i'm 32 years old i've been yo yo dieting for about 10 years now and I'm ready to finally shrink and stay that way. I weigh 250 and this is my highest weight and I was ready to give up and face the fact that i'll always be fat. But I have 3 young beautiful boys and i want to run and play with them. I met Lisa through a friend of mine (1angel) who i've known for about 4 years now and they both have inspired me a great deal. I purchased my MF last night and i'm waiting for it to arrive to get started if anyone knows how long it will be till i receive MF let me know. And if anyone can help for the first few days I would be greatful. Any advise is welcome. Thank you and I hope to meet new friends to chat with and get more encouragment.

Adriana ;)

Hi, Adriana! Welcome to the journey!

I had the same thoughts -- doomed to ever increasing girth...and deteriorating health. Pretty sad for only 41. I'm proud of you for getting on this now! I was still in denial at 32. You've got a great friend and role model in Lisa! (angel1 -- scratching short, been-here-since-March memory)

First days -- clean out the snacking clutter and stock up on "allowables," pickles, boullion, SF jello, lowcal/lowfat salad dressing, and the stuff you want for your lean and green (L&G) meals. Get a journal and start writing. Take your before pics.

Do you have access to Success in a Shaker Jar? (It's a book.) That was really helpful when I started the program.

Hi Adriana! WELCOME!

There are now three of us that I know of that is 32 years old and has 3 kids. I know where you are coming from. Life is hectic and it is hard to take care of ourselves. NOW IS THAT TIME.

Before you know it the weight will start falling off. Keep posting here, read all the threads especially the Lean Cuisine to find recipes to make the food taste better.

I can't believe how supportive everyone is here. This is amazing. And what's more amazing is that, I was reading some of your start dates and most of you have lost 30 pounds in 3 months wow. I'm still waiting for my MF to arrive and meanwhile i'm drinking slim fast and lots of water. And boy am i tired of peeing.
