New Beginnings in 2008

Postby tnanock » January 1st, 2008, 9:02 am

I've heard that 2008 is the year of new beginnings. Well, I am starting my year by restarting Medifast. I used MF back in 2005, experienced success, but then let life get in the way.

I am 36 years old, a wife to a wonderful husband, and a mother to 3 children--ages 12, 10, and 3 (all boys) ;) I teach computer technology at the junior high level. I have struggled with my weight all of my adult life. I have only been at my goal weight of 165 pounds one time in the last 18 years.

My MF products will probably not be here until Monday. :( I have left over supplements from another program that I will begin using tomorrow to help me make the transition to complete MF by Monday or Tuesday of next week.

I have over 60 lbs to lose and seeing all the successes on this board, lets me know that it is possible to lose it quickly and permanently if I remain compliant. :D

So here's to new beginnings!!!

Welcome Back! I too am 'restarting'........I am close to your age and your kids (the older ones) are close to my kids age.

Realistically - I have 120 lbs to loose, but my first goal is to work to get under 200lbs.

This is my 1st Goal of Breaking the 200 lb Barrier!

Looks like there are quite a few restarters!! We can do it.....taking it one day at a time! I can't wait to get my products in....motivation is so high.

My mother mentioned to me today that she was going to lose weight this year....(I see myself being her---having to deal with being overweight all her life---if I don't change something now) She mentioned wanting to go back to weight watchers but I think I want to talk to her about doing Medifast with me. We'll see. I definitely am coming out of the closet this time though. Last time, I tried doing it in secret----didn't even tell my hubby until the products came in  --but I think that hindered me.

I guess I was afraid of 'negative' talk....but now that I think about it, I don't think anyone would do that. And if they do, I'll just tell them that this is a lot healthier than the way I've been eating and leave it at that.

Anyway, good luck to everyone. Let's make 2008 the best year yet!!
