Need some advice, plz

Postby stelar » February 10th, 2006, 6:36 pm

 Hi All!
We're celebrating my Mom's 79th birthday tomorrow. Which is super cool! :candle: But, we're going out for breakfast. So, I need to make my lean & green a breakfast meal. I'm thinking french toast is probably not appropriate :brickwall: I need help! I've always been the breakfast carber with a side of fat (bacon). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thx,
Stela

Stelar--Yeah I think french toast would be a no no considering the bread :roflmao: Maybe some type of omelet with veggies in it if you like eggs cause I know that you can substitute eggs for your protein at times. Just a suggestion from someone who is not a big breakfast eater but I did the best I could!

I agree with FalisaMarie, go for a vegetable omelet, no cheese and you will not feel deprived and still be on plan.

An omlette is the way to go or scrambled eggs with a little salsa and ask for sliced tomatoes on the side instead of the hash browns, etc.

I did that all the time when I was doing low carb. You'll do fine. Drink a shake before you leave if you think you may be tempted!!

Hang tough, you can do it! Remember you have to come report to us and that'll help keep ya strong!!

Good Luck and Happy Birthday to your Mom!!!

Everyone's right on track. I had to have my l&g for breakfast once, and that's exactly what I did. You can also see if you can get some extra veggies on the side, since the ones in the omelet won't be enough (I got extra spinach instead of potatoes; they were very nice about it). The only bad thing is having no meal to look forward to later on.

Wish your mom a happy birthday from all of us!

Thanks everyone. I'm going to have an omelette (sp?). I love hashbrowns, bacon & muffins :shoot: but, I can do this. There is no way I'm going back to the 190's. I've got some veggies ready for tonight when my DH has dinner & I can't have my l&g.

I'll tell my Mom happy bday from all of you & I'll let you know how I did.

You're all so awesome! Thank you

:D I did it! :flip: I stuck to plan but man it was hard and I still have the munchies!! :dooh: I know it's all psychological but it's still fierce! :x

My Mom had a great time though :stroll: I took her shopping afterwards. She was all kinds of happy. She's the best mom in the world, she deserves a special day & it was worth the struggles I'm feeling now :exercise:

I will shake the rest of the day away!
