When my husband and I were dating he used to have this joke - 'how about some Nicky love?' His name is Nick, not mine. But I used it first on eBay and then for convenience I used it here, too.

Wish I had a good story about my name - I was living in Sydney Australia hence the Sydney (and we use location ID's in our company for everyone) and my name is Gavin.

Hmmmph - Now I am living in Chengdu, China I guess I should be China_Gavin or chengdu_gavin but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I always assumed it was in honor of Sojourner Truth but I love your explanantion!

My nic is from the movie of the same name. I had just seen the movie and it seemed fitting because most of the good things that happen to me are serendipity. I've used this nic for years. I play online backgammon and that game takes alot of serendipity to win.

If I must!!

I have two nicknames that I use online.... Smartipantz and Rowdibrat. Mainly because I'm kinda a smart alec, like to have fun and will always get in the middle of a good ribbing of friends. Therefore, if the "pants" fit!!

As for Rowdibrat, same analogy.... I'm energetic but not hyper. I was given the name Rowdi when I played tons of softball and it stuck to this day. I'm not so much a brat in a bad way - just a funloving way. My license plate on my BMW even says Rowdi
