MMM Pasta, MMM potatoes

Postby falisamarie » February 16th, 2006, 2:21 pm

Ok I know I have seen a lot of people trying to trade the minestrone soup but are yall crazy? :roflmao: I just had it for the first time and I was thrilled to see little cubes of potatoes and a little pasta in it!!! I added a little beef bouillon and a little salsa to it and YUMMMMMMMMY!! I loved it.

Silly confession here....I picked out the potatoes one by one and so enjoyed them and did the same thing with the pasta...in fact I saved a piece of pasta for my last bite.

I've never been the slightest bit interested in trying the minestrone ... 'til now! Guess that'll be on my next order...

No way, you all love the Minestrone?

I just cannot get into it. I tried... adding bouillon, garlic, Italian herbs... nothing works for me. It's just blah. The kidney beans I think are just faux beans made of paste ;)

First person to PM me can have my 6 packets with my compliments!

I also just enjoyed the Ministrone for lunch. I make 6 packets ahead of time on the stove. I mix 6 packets, 9 cups of water, 3 tomato fast soups, 3 beef fast soups, 6 tablespoons of salsa and let it simmer for 20 min. I seperate it and toss in the fridge. When I am ready to have it I add about 1/2 cup more water and some Ms Dash's spicy and heat for 2 min.

Everything is soft and flavorful. I like to let it sit over night or a day to get good flavor out of everything.

I hate that stuff, but I keep meaning to add some clam bouillon to it, and see if I can make it taste kind of like Manhattan clam chowder.

I'm glad SOMEone likes it, though!!
