Hello MerryMary - are you out hiding in your garden again??

Hi Mary, I believe I will start keeping a daily log so that I can keep up with meals. I have a huge cup with a handle that holds 64 oz. of water and I drink that plus a little more each day.

I'm not to worried about my sister I was just surprised that she jumped on me so quick. I e-mailed her copies of some success stories so she could check out Medifast results. I know that I can get a lot of support on this board so I will continue to check back every day.

Thanks again for the tips, I'm going to put them in use tomorrow.

What's most important is to have a plan ... when we are deliberate about something it happens! I hope you have a good time at the convention--sounds like it will be a lot of fun

I'm doing quite well ... no MF problems and the scale is moving in the right direction so that's good! Hi Mary!! Hope everything is going well. I know that I always mention the gardens...I finally this past weekend planted my flowers - talk about being behind. It's not my thing but once it's done I like to sit back and watch the beauty of them as they grow.

I'm doing well MF-wise and otherwise.

Good luck with the garden ... it's really not all that "late" to have gotten it planted considering you live in the North, is it? When I lived in Illinois I tried to get my gardens planted by Memorial day but some years that was wishful thinking! Now, being in the South, things are much different.

Right now I'm gearing up for another trip to Chicago. Mom has Alzhiemer's and I think my brother and I need to begin making some very difficult decisions. I always thought Mom would move in with me (even purchased my house based on that consideration), but when she visited in March it thoroughly disoriented her. My brother who has taken most of the responsibility for her thus far (as he lives near her) is considering taking on a new job that will leave him less time to care for her. We need prayers right now ... prayers for guidance, wisdom and courage.

God is good ... He's always present in our need!

I actually live right over the Illinois border in Wisconsin - about an hour from Chicago. I have planted my flowers on Memorial day only to have frost and all of them be killed. That is highly unusual to happen but after that happening -about 20 years ago - I now wait until mid June. So I am not that far behind by my standards now that I think about it.

I am sure that you will make the right decision in regards to your mother. Glad to hear that you are seeking God for guidance and for strength. This must be a difficult time for you. I hope you have a safe trip.

Oh, MARY,
I am just so sorry about your mother! Having had several close friends who suffered with Alzheimers, I so feel for you.
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers for wisdom and strength to help you through this.

Oh Mary - take care. My heart goes out to you. My mom was diagnosed with brain cancer just a few months ago and we are on different sides of the country and it is very difficult. Unfortuantely it is turning into a long process and it is taking its toll on everyone. My daughter and I are going to try and see her next month though it is costly. But my daughter is only 5 and needs to see her one last time - as I do. Bigs hugs your way...

Patty, I'm sorry to hear about your Mom. Cancer can be such a brutal disease. My friend's 30 year-old brother is fighting it now and the doctors are beginning to see the futility of their efforts. All types of illnesses not only affect the patient but also the family. It's a cross that we carry for one another it seems. I sympathize with you and the distance that keeps you apart from your Mom. You will certainly be kept in my prayers as well.
