As I wrote in another member's journal I was reminded of a time about 10 years ago. I'm going to repeat it here ...

It was a time when I was discerning what direction the rest of my life would take--would I reesablish my accounting practice or would I follow my call to ministry. I worried about many things ... was I too old to return to college? What would formation be like? Being a woman, what struggles would I encounter? A very dear friend suggested that I was stressing so much about the "what ifs" of the future I was not enjoying the present!

Later, I found this verse that I've kept handy for times when I begin to drift back into the "what ifs" of my life ...

Your life is a sacred journey. And it is about change, growth, discovery, movement, transformation, continuously expanding your vision of what is possible, stretching your soul, learning to see clearly and deeply, listening to your intuition, taking courageous challenges at every step along the way. You are on the path... exactly where you are meant to be right now... And from here, you can only go forward, shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of triumph, of healing, of courage, of beauty, of wisdom, of power, of dignity, and of love.~~Caroline Adams

I want to keep this front and center during the rest of my MF journey! :D

Your verse not only helps you, but can apply to everyone, in whatever stage of life, or whatever circumstance. It's good, MARY. Thanks!

Hi  Tawanda and Lizabette!

I'm glad you liked it. :D I really appreciate your comments!

Lizabette ... Yes, it does apply to all of us, and it matters not which of life's journey <img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_118.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D7%252F7_2_118/image.gif"> we are on!

MerryMary!! How are you doing? I just caught up on your journal and you have posted some wonderful things. I so agree with you and Biki that God does love us unconditionally. Isn't it strange how we always strive for something that He has already given us?? But it's also awesome how He is always there for us. I love your quotes about cheating v. choices and being good v. bad. So so true. Thanks for sharing with us.

Oh what a precious verse to cling to Mary, and especially when we're at a crossroads in our lives. Thank you for sharing this. I am saving it in my favorite folder so i can refer to it. I do believe there are no co-incidences with God. Our individual blueprint was designed even before we were born:+)...and i find that if you are truly close to God you WILL hear him when he's speaking to you, and that sometimes IS your inner intuition.
Again, thank you my friend.

Mary, Thanks for dropping in on my journal yesterday. I believe I have made a wise decision also and look forward to my journey. My food should be here next week sometime and I can hardly wait!

What part of Dallas are you from? I live southeast of Dallas in Kaufman County and I think we are going to float away pretty soon if this rain doesn't stop. My daughter asked me yesterday if God was going to flood the earth again. Now she is 19 years old and knows better. Anyway I encouraged her and said that He promised not to do that again. We are thankful for all the rain but getting a little tired of it.

Have a good Thursday!

Donna

We HAVE gotten a LOT of rain, haven't we? Still, I like to look at the positive side--we've been in draught conditions for over 2 years and I understand that's been officially been lifted! I live just north of you (I'll PM you with details) and our water supply was frighteningly low last year. We would never have made it through another summer, that's for sure! So God is good ... our prayers for rain and renewal of our earth have been answered!! :D

Howdy Mary,
I am thankful for the rain and I know we needed it. We have a boat, on a lift, at Cedar Creek Lake and last year the water was so low we could walk under the boat. Needless to say the lake is full again. Thanks for the PM and I mailed you back.
