MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Postby supermom » April 22nd, 2006, 8:22 pm

It is raining in Amarillo, TX. Great news, as we have been on fire (literally) for about a month. In fact, our neighborhood was evacuated last weekend. We were afraid we were going to lose our home. Praise GOD, there is rain in Amarillo, TX!!!!

LOL okay, I thought you were going to make a pregnancy announcement with that buildup! :)

Glad it's raining - hopefully that storm system will head this way as it's supposed to - we haven't had rain in something like 40 days!

Hi

Postby dede4wd » April 22nd, 2006, 8:40 pm

Good news! It's been a WHILE since we've seen rain in Phoenix, so good for you! Of course I have to drive my shiny truck through Texas the next couple of days, and people from where it doesn't rain much don't know how to DRIVE in weather, so I have THAT to look forward to!

Glad for you, though!

DeDe

P.S. Glad you're not pregnant too unless you wanted to be!

We've had two HUGE storms here in the past month, after a long drought. My dogs are petrified of thunder, though, so hopefully we won't get any more for a while. And it'd be nice if it could rain either before or after I move, but not WHILE I'm trying to haul stuff.

Hmmmm,
And here is Washington State we are enjoying a few days of SUN  Of course it takes our eyes a little while to adjust. We are used to clouds and rain. After living through March -- most rain ever recorded -- we are very very happy to share with the rest of the country!!
I'll bet pretty soon those poor Northern Californians are going to willing to share too!!! I am sooo happy to hear though that your fire danger is going down. :D

Pregnant?? UGH----I have an infant ( 7 months) and a 4 and 5 year old. Pregnant is not what I want right now. I was just so excited about the rain. My husband is at my parents house this weekend and I had no one to celebrate with. I guess I did make a pretty big deal of it!!
