Postby lauradr » December 31st, 2006, 10:14 am

I made A big mistake- I did not do transition ---I ate real food and just started eating every thing in sight---Guess what I gained--I am so mad at my self--But its a new year I have a few pounds to lose and do it right next time---I need to learn to handle stress--I lost my best friend to Cancer in DEC.and Had to go to Denver for work -- and almost spent Christmas at the Airport---The Medifast was Checked--so I was with out medi food-- I Made it home to spend it with My wonderful Family--So I have about 12 lbs to lose--Happy New Year to all
I'm not where I wanna be but, thank God I'm not where I use to be!

Happy New Year and glad I can learn a lesson from your ordeal. Never check all the Medifast!

You can do it! You know all the rules, right, so this will be a piece of cake, right? I mean, a plate of medi-oatmeal cookies. ;)

Laura, I'm so sorry. But I'm betting at least some is water. I think if you hop back on plan for a bit, you'll be back to goal in no time. And next time you'll know to add stuff SLOWLY.

Hi

I'm so sorry about this Laura.

But...

I'm proud of you. Proud of you for catching it now and doing what needs to be done. I gained over 30lbs before I put a stop to it, you did good to catch it here.

I'm also realizing from the others kind enough to still be posting in maintenance and transition that I intend to transition slowly. Very slowly! Or else, I'd go straight back to Taco Bell! Not even anything good!

Don't beat yourself up! Stuff happened, you celebrated making goal a bit and now you've got some business to attend to, nothing more!

I had a large friend in Dallas who would order so much food at Taco Bell she would go ahead and order 4 sodas so the guy in the window wouldn't think it was all for her. Like he cared!

Oh Laura... I really can empathize with what you're going through. Went through the same thing with my best friend dying in November and I'm still having a tough time dealing with it. I totally blew my diet on Christmas and have been paying for it ever since. Finally got my head (if not my gall bladder) screwed on straight the pass few days and the weight started coming off again...almost like when I first started.

You can do this, and your journey to goal has been on of those great storeis that help keep me hanging on when I want to just give it up.

Thanks for being an inspiration and know that you can do this now and maintain it once you reach goal.

Best Wishes and Happy New Year and New YOU!!!

A New Year

Postby LAwoman » January 1st, 2007, 12:06 pm

Hey Laura,

First, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Dealing with work, weather, travel... problems are a pain when trying to cope with such a loss and then the holidays and everything else...

BUT...

instead of going down the road of old habits and having to lose 100 lbs again....

you chose to get right back to MF, take care of those pesky 12 lbs., and live the life you want.

Good for you!

I hope 2007 brings you a wonderful year of good health and happiness.

you know, i really admire people who put the brakes on their behavior before it becomes a serious problem. it's a great sign that you are ready to be healthy-- you came back ready to fight for the body you want.

it's gonna be a great year.
