Glad to be back...
I had an awful scare struggling to breath the other night (Tues) and ended up in the hospital for 2 days!! I had to stop my Medifast as they would not allow it in the hospital...Come to find out, I had a bad case of bronchitis...Missed the site and will start again early tommorow morning...Hope you are all well and losing away !

Welcome back! When I recently spent 6 days in the hospital they acted like my Medifast was crack or something. I think I messed up when I called them "supplements" because that made them think they were some weird weight loss vitamin combo with caffeine or something that would interact with my meds. I suggested they educate themselves on the internet, but they didn't lke my tone.

Glad you are doing better. I understand how that goes... I'm an asthmatic and have had bad bouts of bronchitis myself. I have to say, since I've lost alot of this weight, my asthmas is like 4000% better....

Biki, I hear ya on the hospital thing too. Its amazing how many people in health care have never heard of it, let alone the fact that people in general find it strange when we talk about it.
Then again, how many times do you go to a hospital, and there are like 8 nurses and 2 doctors outside smoking.... go figure....

And let's not forget the pizzas, cheeseburgers and cake most of the patients were eating. The only way I didn't gain weight in the hospital is by eating lots of veggie burgers and salad and just eating half a serving of things off the breakfast menu since it was all off program.

Thanks everybody for your thoughtful messages...
Mike and Biki...You are sooo right ! I actually had 3 shakes in my purse and was trying to mix them up with the water pitcher (by shaking them)and the nurse had a fit !! She got the doctor in my room immediately and he had no idea what Medifast was !!!! I told him and he still wouldn't let me have them...Go figure...So today I have started again and will have to endure the "initial" side effects of the first three days until I'm into kitosis again...

Off to go rest,

Hi Kate's Mom!

Glad to have you back and hear that you still have your motivation!

Hello Medifast Friends...
I had to adjust my weight ticker and almost died...Since I had to eat hospital food it added 6 lbs to my weight...Not too happy about this but will get through it and hopefully it will come back off fast...I am not giving up...No way, no how...
Meeting friends today that I haven't seen in 2.5 years and I look forward to getting back out...
Hope you have a great "losing" day...

By the way, if the scale even shows a little loss by tommorow, can I do the roll call?

Thanks,
Katesmom :D

You can always do roll call, no matter how much you gained or loss.

Good morning Katesmom! I just wanted to stop in and say hang in there. Drink lots of water, don't miss any of your meals and lets hope that the whoosh fairy visits you tonight. It's too bad about the hospital food but that kind of quick gain should disappear pretty quickly once you are back in the ketosis groove. Best of luck!

Those 6# must be primarily water weight gain, you wouldn't have gained 6# of actual 'weight' with just 2 days in the hospital. Don't stress over it.
Began MediFast 2/10/07 212#
Reached Goal 3/15/08 147#
Renewed commitment 9/20/09-after regaining 38# (185#)
Reached Goal 1/25/10 147# Maintaining :)
