Just wanted to say hi

Postby KatyBob » October 11th, 2006, 7:48 pm

Hi everyone in forum land.

I have been on medifast since Aug 26, 2006. This is a very different kind of "diet" and each day my thoughts vary on staying true to the plan. I really miss eating, I knew I had been emphasizing food too much, but I had no idea how much I depended on food for mood corrections.

For those of you thinking about the plan, it works. I am not hungry. I am much healthier, my two year old was sick last week and for the first time I didn't catch it and my cholesterol drop below 200 for the first time in a year. Also I cannot nap like I used to, I'm not saying lack of sleep, just lack of too much sleep!

If I could, I mean WHEN I break my emotional dependency to fattening food, I know I will keep losing weight and getting healthier with the help of Medifast and this forum. This forum has really helped me, thank you all who contribute to making this a place we can all count on for positive messages.

Hiya, KatyBob  and welcome!!

You're SO RIGHT!!! This journey is so emotional, and the self-discovery that makes it successful ranges all over from sobering to gigglable. Keep at it! It's totally worth the struggle to remain compliant and watch the new you finally emerge FOR KEEPS!!

Welcome, KatyBob. I'm glad the program is going well for you. Many of us start with mixed feelings, but it's SO worth the effort.

Welcome Katybob!

I'm happy you're shaking' with us! Isn't it amazing how food used to be mood corrections? I was off plan for a while and was AMAZED at how I was suddenly tired and sluggish, sleeping too long, and just didn't feel GOOD! I'm happy to be back shakin' and am glad that you are too! You're through the hard part! Now, on to goal!

Welcome Katybob!!!

I am an emotional eater too and it was weird eating because 3 hours went by and not because I was in the middle of a crisis :x

It is a great feeling though to have control over eating.
The only thing I have a problem doing is going out to eat beacuse I am afraid of how they are making it and what they are adding to it back in the kitchen.
I dont want to get knocked out of Ketosis and start having cravings again.
