Just took my before pics

Postby falisamarie » January 13th, 2006, 1:45 pm

Hey guys-

Well I just bit the bullet and took the dreaded before pics :aarggh:

They absolutely disgusted me :dooh:

I cannot believe how absolutely huge I have allowed myself to become

But NO MORE!!!

I will do this and I will succeed

The more I think about those pics the more furious and determined I get :x

In three months I will take another set and post the before and after pics and I can't wait.

OK I am done venting now on to a better thinner me

Welcome, Lisa.
You are showing great determination in starting this diet. That determination will keep you going.
If you just do it, you will be surprised at how the weight will just fall off. It will be like no time at all and your breathing will be easier, your knees won't hurt. Others will begin noticing (although for me, I had to loose 40 pounds or so before anyone said something). But the big thing for me is that I knew--I could feel the difference--I gained an internal pride in what this diet had allowed me to do.
Keep it up, girl, this is a good path you are on!

Lisa:

Thanks for posting your picture. It's always so great to put a face to a name. Keep up this cycle of shakes, replacement meals, and Lean and Green and we will be seeing ...less of you......it will be great !!!!!

Don't forget to drink your water. That is very very important.

Best of luck to you and just keep shakin'

Hi, Lisa ~

Thank you for posting your picture! When I started the program over three and a half years ago I weighed just three pounds less than your starting weight and I am a lot more experienced in life than you are so my flabber had been hanging around on my frame a lot longer than yours.

I know this is a really big task that you and others are facing and it seems like it will be FOREVER before you get to your goal.

Think about what it was like when you were a little kid and your Mom said you were going on a little trip, maybe to the beach or for a drive in the mountains, etc.

It seemed like it took so long for the family truckster to get packed, then just as everyone was about to leave the house, the landline phone rang, so the take off time was disrupted.

Then someone had to go potty. :runner: Again.

FINALLY you were on your way.

You kept thinking about running on the beach, digging your toes into the cold sand, splashing in the surf, eating saltwater taffy, swimming in the indoor heated pool, slurping clam chowder and sleeping at a hotel!

The drive dragged on and on. :drive:

The city and suburban houses along the route became further apart and gave way to country houses, there were no stores or gas stations for a long while, you had to go potty, the trees of the forest took over the view and your bladder was about to :x explode before Daddy pulled into the rest stop at the summit of the coast range.

The ride grinded on but all of a sudden...

There it was, as the family vehicle made the last turn, the ocean! You arrived at the ocean! :bounce:

Your journey to thinniness may feel a lot like the ride to the beach - long! But singing along the way, telling stories, sharing, talking a walk around the block, all these things made the trip so much fun! And it made the journey seem rather enjoyable. Your Forum Family here is just like your family - we're riding right along with you! We'll sing, we'll laugh, we'll tell 'war' stories, some people will make pit stops along the way and when they do, we'll chase after them and bring them back to the car and we'll get to the beach together. :stroll: :stroll: :stroll: :stroll: :stroll:

You're gonna do just fine! Now we see the 'before' picture, let's get on to the 'doing' part and we can't wait to see the 'after.'

Your goal is just a shake away!

Nancy

Thank you soooo much for the encouraging words you have no idea how much they were needed and are appreciated

I told Jan that this is it for me, this is my last ditch effort to get rid of all the extra baggage I am carrying around :x

I KNOW Medifast is my answer and I am determined to do this :coach:

I know that the forum will be my source of strength that I will pull from :weightlift:

You are a beautiful woman both inside and out and I know I speak for everyone here when I say Thanks for all you do!!!

Going the same place!

Postby Lizabett2 » January 29th, 2006, 1:10 pm

Lisa,

I just have to thank you first for responding to several my posts with your words of encouragement and support. That shows that you are not just thinking about yourself, but you want others to succeed. You are to be commended.

You are a heroine to us in taking such a brave step as beginning MF. If it is a last resort for you, it is for most of us! It will take a little longer for some than others, but we will all get there eventually and it will be worth all the effort we put into it.

I determined not to mess with the program, but to trust it to do what it says. It is so much easier to stay 100% than to dilly dally around with it. The decisions are made for us and we just follow them.

The rewards will be great, both in health and in appearance, and that is what we are all striving for. Let the words and support of all the wonderful people on MF lift up your spirits when it gets a little low, as it is sure to do for each of us.

Our destination is the same. We'll all get there, as Nancy says 'One shake at a time!'
