Hi there. My name is Tina. Just started MF today. I have been feeling a little bloated, but I kind of expected this. I was wondering if you can substitute low fat feta for your lean meal?

Thanks,
Tina

Hi there, Tina-

I just wanted to welcome you! I am not sure on the feta question...but some of the more experienced MF'ers will chime in soon!

Meanwhile...happy to have you on the journey with us.

Hi. I meant in a salad, not nessecarily 7 ounces. Maybe less of the chicken or whatever meat and a little feta in a salad.

Thanks.

According to your quick start guide you can substitute up to 1 cup of cheese as your protein. I have found it difficult to eat 7 oz of chicken myself (having had gastric bypass), so I have, in the past, substituded 1/4 of a cup of low fat/non-fat cheese for 1.5 to 2 oz of chicken.
For me, its more of a need due to the size of my stomach.
I have heard from the new information that has come out from the conference, that you can also split your L&G into two parts as well. So you might have your chicken with some veggies for half, and the salad with the feta as the other half ifthat is what you choose to do.
Of course, nonfat cheese is preferred, and you want the lowest amount of sodium you can as well.

Low after WLS 300

Previous MF low 280
Restart MF 330

Thanks so much for the feedback. I will try splitting my L&G in half. That sounds like a great idea. I did want to tell a little about myself. I am a past Medical Weight Loss girl. The first time I was on MWL I lost 30 pounds and the second time I went on I lost 50 pounds. It works, but I got tired of the measuring and all that. Back in March I was at 225 and went on South Beach. I have been very loyal and and am down to 206. I have a wedding to go to at the end of this month. South Beach is great, but very slow moving. I wanted to loose a good 20 pounds before this wedding and that is why I am here. I am already used to no carbs, but I love my greek salads, with low fat dressing, of course. I am hoping to loose the bulk of my weight on MF.

Thanks for listening.
