HOLY CAMOLY!

Postby Joelie » March 24th, 2006, 1:41 pm

I had my L&G for lunch today as we are headed to a hockey game this evening and won't have time to prepare anything before we leave.

I had cottage cheese and tomato and can NOT BELIEVE how utterly stuffed I am! I never would have dreamed a cup of cottage cheese and some tomatos would ever come close to filling me up. Image

THIS ROCKS!!!! Image

shrinking

Postby Jan » March 24th, 2006, 6:47 pm

The outside of you is not the only thing that is shrinking -- your tummies are too. :D Plus when you eat every 3 hours or so -- you're not starving. So you get full quicker. It's a great thing!!

well...I believe what is recommended are just a few cherry tomatos on your salad because of the sugar in the toms. BUT...I am vegetarian and not a salad fan so my HA said a larger tomato with my cottage cheese because the cottage cheese is so low in fat and carbs is just fine.
BUT... you don't want to do this every night exclusively 7 days a week, especially if your weight loss slows down... but several times a week is just fine.

Hope this helps. :D

Tuhmaters are a bit pricey in terms of carbs and that's why we typically suggest that we use them as salad toppers. The caloric and carb limit for the Lean and Green is about 300/10 (some meals will stretch it to the max at 330-350/12).

As Joelie said, not every day because of the carbs.

For the first time in my life, I now realize how much food I used to pack in; no wonder I was porky because my serving sizes were huge. My Daddy and brother were laborers and ate a lot of food and I learned to eat like them but I did not do the physical work that they did so I piled on the pounds.

When we eat small meals frequently throughout the day and keep our water intake up to par, we find that our energy level is good, that we are truly satisfied, hunger is gone (except for when it is feeding time!) and we manage the foody part of our lives so much better.
