Hey everyone!
My names Ainsley, I'm 17 years old, 5 foot 5 and 274lbs.
* * * * * * * *
Well first off I am just amazed at everyones progress on this diet! It is so inspirational. I've tried many diets in the past including weight watchers, L.A weight loss, and the most recent Nutrisystem (I found the food tasted like cardboard, and after 3 weeks i hadn't lost a single pound). But my doctor suggested Medifast, I had heard of MF a few months earlier and had even considered purchasing it, but quickly decided I didn't have the willpower to commit to something like that. But here I am! Ready to try something new :)

My question for ya'll is what foods do you find taste the best?
I haven't ordered my food yet, mainly because I had a bad experience with other over the internet diet purchases.

i dig the shakes, the puddings, and the oatmeal (apple & maple).

you can usually get codes for a free week sampler when you order-- and that will get a you a few more things to try.

 WELCOME!!

I'm almost done with week 3. :D I had a bit of trouble with some of the foods the first few days, and there are still some I don't LOVE, but for the most part I can handle most all that I've tried. I've tried most everything so far, except: Peach oatmeal, Tomato Soup & the fast soups, Carmel Nut Bars, Fruit & Nut bars, White Chedday soy crisps, garden vegetable crackers & all the non-shake drinks except the Chai Latte and the Hot Chocolate.

MY FAVES:
Shakes: Dutch Chocolate & Swiss Mocha
Oatmeal: Apple-Cinnamon
Soups: Chili (always been a chili-girl), Minestrone & the Chicken with Wild Rice, but I have to really cook it to get the rice, mushrooms & chicken the right texture.
Bars: Oatmeal Raisin, Lemon Fantasy & Chocolate Divine
Other: Ranch soy crisps, Apple-Cinnamon Soy Crisps, Chocolate Pudding

It's common to not love the food the first couple of days or so but your tatse buds will adjust. Also there are lots of preparations tips and tricks, check out the lean cuisine section, that really improve the taste of the meals. I pretty much enjoy all of it but the chili prepared on the stove with salt, pepper, tabasco and garlic added is my favorite.

Best of luck!

Welcome!

I love the Hot Cocoa!

I like the Chicken Noodle Soup, Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal & Chocolate Pudding. I can stand the Vanilla shakes with davinci syrup. The Chocolate devine, chocolate mint and oatmeal bars are good too.

Good Luck!!

Hi there, first off I love your name.

I like:
Shakes: Orange and Dutch Chocolate
Soups: Tomato, Chicken noodle and Chicken&rice
Bars: Mint, Pb and Smores
Both Puddings
Ranch and apple soy crisps

I find the shakes are just easier and quicker. I have 4 shakes a day and 1 bar.

WELCOME!! I'm always intrigued by how everyone on this forum has such different tastes in the MF food - and my own tastes have changed over the course.

My faves:
Shakes- vanilla (warmed in the m-wave)
Bars - peanut butter, caramel nut
Oatmeal - ALL FLAVORS!
Hot Drink - chai
Soups - chili, minestrone
Snacks - apple cinnamon soy crisps
Pudding - chocolate (made with extra water, makes a thick shake)

Hi Ainsley,

I just wanted to chime in and say that my 16-year-old daughter started Medifast last month at 286 lbs. and has already lost 25 lbs. If I didn't believe this was the BEST program for EVERYONE, I would not have allowed her to try it. I can't tell you how much better she feels and the confidence I see coming out of her!

Try it - you will LOVE the results!

Welcome Ainsley!

I think you really have to try everything to decide what you like. As you can see, everybody likes something different. So far I can pretty much each anything, but I'm not really very fond of the oatmeal.

My favorites are: RTD Chocolate shakes, peanut butter bars, lemon fantasy bars, oatmeal raisin bars, chicken noodle soup, broccoli soup and chocolate pudding.

You will do great on the plan. Just keep a positive attitude and get yourself through the first week or so. It will get easier!

Welcome! I am about to turn 21, and began this program 3 weeks ago. There are deffinately foods that I do not like. I just placed my second order which only contained my three favorites: Chocolate pudding, Hot chocolate, and apple cinnamon oatmeal. I think that it is easier to stick to the diet if I am looking forward to my MF meals, then if i am dreading it.

I know that you will be able to do it!!

Hi Ainsley! I just started using MF 7/31/06. I love the "no brainer" aspect of picking out a packet for a meal. My favorites are:

chili (cooked on stove w/cayenne pepper)
banana pudding
all oatmeals
orange, banana, vanilla shakes made in blender w/ice

wishing you great success
Going to restart Jun 2009, been gone since after surgery Oct06. Can't wait !

Aloha & Welcome....... I love, love the soy crisps (I just tried them going on month #3). I love the chicken and rice. If I mix the shakes with ice - I love them also. Everytime I ate somethin sketchy (like the minestrone) I reminded myself that medifast is my medicine that is going to help cure my food addiction. Best of luck to you! Aloha - Cate

Everyone's tastes are different, but my favorites are:
Cocoa (especially prepared cold like a shake)
Soy crisps
Oatmeal (apple, maple and vanilla-berry)
Chili, if it's doctored up right
Broccoli soup
Chocolate pudding made with raspberry Crystal Light instead of water

But bear in mind when I started the program, I hated almost everything. It took maybe a week to find the foods I could tolerate, and more time before I actually LIKED them.

You'll find your tastes change on the program, too, and something you hated in the beginning may end up being one of your favorites a couple of months later.

Good luck!!! We don't get many teenagers on here, so it's nice to see you doing something healthy for yourself at a young age. You'll have a lot easier time losing the pounds than some of us ... errrrr ... more experienced Medifasters.
