Hello - My goal is to lose 80 pounds

Postby bookgirltrish » June 12th, 2006, 11:09 am

A newbie here, just started today. This morning I woke up and said ok, no problem. Then, I walked down stairs opened the pantry and saw chips, cookies, cupcakes and I started to panic. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. I think this is going to be harder than I realize.
My goal is to lose 80 pounds. YIKES!!!!!

Have a good day!!

Fingers and toes crossed for you. I learned my new favorite quote here:

"If you think you can or you think you can't - you're right!"

Good luck. We're cheering for you!

If possible, try to clean out the pantry! Remove the temptation. In a week or two you WILL NOT BE HUNGRY at all...trust me.

Welcom and holler if you need us!

Welcome! Best of luck to you.

When temptation arises this is the best place to come to get encouragement and support.

Good luck! The first few days are the hardest. You will be suprised- after a while those other things won't be so tempting. Is it possible to move them out of sight until you get past the first stage?

You'll do great!!!

I second the idea of cleaning out that pantry! Don't make it harder than it has to be!

Best of Luck!

Hi and welcome to the group.
This will only be hard if you allow it to be. You need to really want to loose weight or fail at another diet. We are all proof that this diet does really work and we want you to loose also. Be strong and come here as often as you like, someone will be here :)

Trish ~ Welcome to the group!!! The first couple of weeks were pretty tough for me, so I would concur with others. If you can clean the cupboards, it would be most helpful. I'm pretzel-ing for ya (crossing my fingers)!!!

Hi Trish. Cleaning out the pantry....hmmmmm, that would be the best thing for you. BUT..if we live with family members who like their snack cakes, or other goodies. I know it can seem unfair to toss their favorites just because we cant have them. If thats the case, maybe have others put those kinds of foods in a secret place not known to you. You can resist them, you just have to want this weight to come off bad enough. We are alot tougher than we give ourselves credit to be.

:cleader: Go, Trish!!! :cleader: Go, Trisha!!! :cleader: Goooooo, TRISH!!!! :cleader:

I like the motto Nancy uses, "Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels." TRUETRUETRUE!!!

And then there's Yoda, "Do or do not; there is no try."

Take it 10 minutes at a time if you need to, but you CAN and WILL be victorious!
Here's to our mutual success! :buddies: --Diana
