WOO-HOO GUYS!!!!! 50 pounds.... can you imagine carrying around a 50-pound dumbbell with you everywhere yoou go? That's what you were doin', and you just tossed it overboard, 24K!!! Same goes for you, Christi-- 20 pounds = 4 sacks of flour. Your body must be thanking you every single day! Great job, guys! Keep on runnin' to the finish line! Not so far to go...!

Postby LAwoman » April 28th, 2005, 7:16 am

Morning All,

Weighing in a little earlier than my beginning of the month since I'm taking a 4 day break.

31 pounds gone and out of the 200's. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know this has been easier because of sharing your sucess and struggles along the way. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the great people on this forum and Nancy and Unca for guiding me along the way.

Even though I'm taking a 4 day "break" from MF, this mornings scale gave me incentive to eat healthy and in moderation.

I'll let you know how it goes when I get back.

I'm psyched to see all your losses this Sunday.

Keep up the great work everyone.
See ya' in Thinsville.

soon to be,

Wow LAWoman!!!! I consider this a monumental accomplishment. Moving out of the 200's into the 100's is just GREAT!!

Congratulations and FANTASTIC JOB!!!

Go to the mirror. Look yourself in the eye and ask yourself if you weigh over 200 pounds.........then reply at the top of your lungs...........NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I do NOT!!!......and never will AGAIN!

Once again, congrats and thanks for the great example you are setting for us all.

Oooo, out of the 200s... Oh LA Woman, I'm jealous! Congratulations! I can't wait to get there.

Enjoy your break -- if it's anything like mine was you'll discover that you just can't eat as much as you used to -- you get too full too fast. The scale might go up a couple pounds or so, but as soon as you get back to MF you'll lose that gain and more with it, so you can run for the 180s as fast as you can. LOL

Congrats again!

24K........I owe you a HUGE apology for neglecting to congratulate you on joining the 50 POUND CLUB!! I don't know how I did that??

Losing 50 pounds is a SPECTACULAR achievement. I just went into my exercise room and picked up two 25 pound dumbells. I have to tell you that if you do that, you will be AMAZED at the thought of carrying this weight around all day every day.

Another great thing I noticed is that you just have a tiny bit remaining in order to reach your half way point on the path to your weight loss final goal. This too will be a great thing to celebrate. You may even reach it by the next Roll Call.

Again, I apologize for the delay in acknowledging your tremendous achievement.

Oh Dean, no problem, and thanks for your encouraging words now! If anything, being a day or two behind is great -- it's like spreading your birthday out over a whole weekend, you get to celebrate longer.

It is kind of amazing to think about not carrying around that much weight anymore. Right when I started MF in early January we were having heavy rains around here in SoCal, you may recall. The first week in to the program or so I was at a friend/neighbor's house hauling 50 pound sandbags around to keep her home from flooding. I remember thinking at the time how hard it was to move those things, and contemplating that my excess weight was equal to TWO of them.

So one is gone, and there's one more to get rid of. I feel so good with the first one gone that I can only imagine what it will be like to have the second one gone.

Thanks again for your kind words.
