Getting the most out of that extra skin.

Postby Serendipity » June 11th, 2006, 6:33 am

Hi gang,

I've been doing alot of thinking about extra skin lately.....that could be because I have alot of it. Now, being a problem solver at heart, my mind wanders to.......what else?......EBAY!! Ya think there's a market for extra skin? I've seen stranger things sold on ebay, lol. I mean, people have found uses for the oddest things.....cow tongues and silk worm cocoons come to mind.....so we should be able to market this stuff. All we need is an idea.

Nope, can't come up with one.

Sooooo, I have offered to be the donor for my sisters if they ever need a skin transplant. Anything for my family.

Jo - You just made my morning with this hysterical post! Let me know if you get any takers on the extra skin. Mine is not as bad as I feared it would be, but my thighs are not pretty.

Anybody watch trading spaces? Maybe Hildi could use it as a wall treatment!

Maybe we could find a way to market it as fuel. You know, Whale blubber is used in some oil lamps. Why not use our skin and flab for, oh I don't know, powering fitness machines??

Jo, you are so SELFLESS.....brings a tear to my eye...<sniff> :tears: :tears: :tears:

Hey, I'm already scouting around for the best plastic surgeon in these parts. Hate to part with something that's been attached to me all my life, tho'. Maybe we could have our extra skin frozen cyrogenically? Then I could have it buried with me when I die.......see Jo? I'm always thinkin' too! :D

Hmmm, Silence of the Lambs comes to mind... ewwwwww.
As for parting with it... I have absolutely no problem. I figure I've had the overhanging gut all of my life..... perhaps someone else would be happy to enjoy it... lol.
Besides... I probably will lose close to 20# or more when it gets removed, and I'll gladly go for that.

I was thinking that maybe I might keep the extra skin and use it as an umbrella or maybe even make some "Tony Skin" boots out of them, and hey I am a drummer also and I could probably make my own skins for my drum heads!!! :kool: :kool: I know that is gross!! I am hoping that it will all shrink back up and work itself back with some exercise and stuff!!!
