Freezer does the trick!

Postby raederle » February 3rd, 2005, 2:41 pm

All you OldTimers might already have done this for weeks and weeks and weeks, but it was a *eureka!* for me today... I threw my peanut butter MF bar in the freezer for a few hours, so that by the time I ate it for an afternoon snack, it was like eating a frozen Snickers bar! Awesome! You definitely have to let it sit out of the freezer to soften for about 5 minutes so you don't crack your teeth, but the wait is worth it. It takes longer to get through the bar, gives you more resistance to chew through, and made me feel like I'd really had a great treat when I was done. I often feel like I could eat 4 or 5 bars at one sitting, but this did the trick for me and forced me to slow down and enjoy the thing instead of inhaling it! I bet it would work well for Caramel Nut and maybe Choc Mint, too...

Postby cthrn007 » February 7th, 2005, 4:39 pm

Oh my!! That sounds great!!! I just popped them all in the freezer!

I used to do that with Girl Scout Cookies because it made them take longer to eat....but we won't go there! :hmmm:

Thanks!
