FINALLY--A NSV for me!

Postby supermom » July 9th, 2006, 1:06 pm

Okay--I have been looking for a dress for my cousins wedding. I had gone and put a dress on layaway in 3 different sizes, planning to try it on this weekend, put back the one that was too small, go back next weekend and do the same, then the week after that, go get the one that fits. Well, when I laid them away, I didn't even try them on. I just looked at them and guesstimated my size. Okay--today I went in and tried on the dress. The smallest one was too big. I had to go to a skirt and top. Which, someone had recommended me doing in the first place, but I feel like shirt and top combo's make me look dumpy. Well, I still had to have a size 20 in the top, because my boobs will not shrink. But the skirt---size 14. No W, just a plain ol 14. It is beautiful. It is a chocolate brown super straight and skinny pencil skirt. it sits low on the hips. The top is a halter, brown, cream, peach and turqoise. I will wear my gold strappy Fendi sandals, and I have a matching Fendi bag to carry. Now, I just need some new highlights in my hair and I am good to go.

I also baught some new shorts. I haven't baught new shorts in about 3 years. The ones I "wore" into the store are a 22. They are REALLY too big. The ones I bought are a 14. I just love it!!! Not much movement on the scale lately, but a size 14??? Who'd a thunk it??

I do need to post some updated pictures, but having some trouble with that right now. I let my brother borrow my digi camera--just got it for Christmas--and he says it fell in the pool. It smells like beer, though. I think it fell in a picture of beer and his friends bachelor party. Anyway, the warranty doesn't cover water damage due to submersion. From humidity, or getting splashed, yes. Submersion, no. They say they can tell from looking at it's insides that it was submerged. Then there is my scanner---it scans, but everything looks wonky from it. It is barely a year old. Dell is going to look at it, I just need to send it to them. As for the camera, my brother will buy me one when he has the money. Probably not until August. I will TRY to get some before then, but no promises!! Thanks for the KUDO'S ya'll. Yes, it feels good!

Two pounds actually, I am at 201 and holding. NOT for long, I hope!! I did a little wine "tasting" while in Colorado. They were having a festival of local wines at the hotel and I tried, but couldn't resist. We had a friend of the family whose daughter goes to school up there come to the hotel and babysit, and we had a good time. But, I gained a little, and it has been kind of hard to get it back off. But have NO fear, I have enough friends as it is, and I will be kickin these to the curb before long.
