finally lost another pound-but am not followng because

Postby hollyhouse » March 10th, 2006, 10:28 am

Finally lost a pound. but im having a hard time followng the program.

This morning i started out ok
coffee
oatmeal
then 2 hours later a shake
then exercised for 40 minutes
had the shakes couldn't take it so i had to eat some raisins
then i piece of bread now i feel a little better.

this seems to happen everyday after 2nd meal i get the shakes and the only way to stop it is if i have raisins or bread.
so its making it hard to follow the program
any suggestions?

Maybe have a MF bar after your workouts rather than bread & raisins? The bread/raisins are just gonna knock you out of ketosis and start you through that tough 3-day process again.

Having a bar after (or before) will give you extra calories to power through exercise yet not take you out of ketosis.

And I second the bouillon idea too! :) What kind of exercise are you doing for 40 minutes? If you're getting real sweaty, you are probably losing electrolytes and sodium - bouillon will help restore these.

But keep in mind also: every time you eat bread and raisins (or other off-program stuff), you are starting off on Day 1 of getting back into ketosis. So, you might need to chill with the exercise for a week, while you follow the plan to a T ;) Otherwise your body is under a lot of stress with the adjusting to ketosis AND the exercise added stress on top... not too surprising you're getting the shakes!

Good luck! :)
