Final Transition stage

All that hard work and now what? Let's talk about how to keep those pounds off...

Final Transition stage

Postby gr8bnme » May 15th, 2006, 6:18 am

Well here goes my final transition stage... As I understand it, I should be eating this way for about 2 months. I weighed this morning and had lost another .3 which puts me at 121.9. I was pretty excited about that. I added toast and another l&g yesterday. i thought i'd be stuffed but i was able to handle it and am enjoying it immensly (especially the bread)... here's how i fit it all in.

7AM Oatmeal & toast or fruit
9AM bar
12PM L&G
3PM yogurt & toast or fruit
6PM L&G
9PM oatmeal or shake

I love having the extra food and love that so far it hasn't caused me to gain any weight :). I may get to 120 after all, but if not, no biggie...

:bravo: and thanks for continuing to share your success!

I'm curious about your exercise. What types of things do you do? How often?

Here's to losing your 1.9. Oh to be in your shoes! Soon enough with MF!

:goodluck:

thx for all the well wishes :)

momof2, the last 5 pounds is the hardest in my opinion. you'll get there :) patience is a virtue... sometimes it's hard to be patient when you are there. i know it was for me. i'm kinda glad i had the vacation excuse to begin transition :).

just_julie, well, exercise is definitely my weakness. i hate it. so last week i did it once. i have a 45 min step aerobics tape that i do. i also have a pilates tape (20 min). sometimes i walk. i really need to do more but don't feel like carving out the time for it. with the two kids, it's best for me to do it either really early before they wake up or really late after bed. in the morning i just keep hitting snooze til it's time for me to start to get ready for work and in the evening i absolutely have to watch some of my favorite programs and then after that i'm too tired and relaxed to exercise. i've promised myself to do better this week. hopefully i'll get in 3 exercise sessions. i'll let you know. i even have a gym membership but come up with a ton of reasons why it's inconvenient to go... if only controlling my food was all i had to do.

Thanks for posting your progress with transition/maintenance. It really does look to me like I will be able to follow it. Actually just changing the program a little bit by adding another L & G, some more veggies, and fruit/starch in reasonable amounts, but continuing with several Medifast packets/day.....hmmmmm I think I can do that!

I'm right with you on the exercise, gr8... IF I do ANYthing, it's before the girls wake up and husband leaves for work. I really LIKE to exercise, it's just hard to do while I'm losing so well without it. I also have baby-lifting elbow (my version of tennis elbow). I'm kind of afraid to start a regular routine for fear it could slow things down. But MAYBE it could speed things up?
