Feeling Blue, then an NSV Came Through...

Postby mellowmom » July 30th, 2006, 7:00 pm

Feeling kinda down today. Weight stalled and just feeling fat and flabby the past couple of days. (Maybe it's residue from my karaoke krash...)

At any rate, today I went to the local Vitamin Shoppe and was at the checkout desk when I handed the clerk my AmEx card, the one with the picture on the back. I just got it through Costco but the pic they used was from my Costco ID which I renewed back in March before I started MF. The clerk looked at the picture then did a double take and said..."Boy, this doesn't even look like you. You certainly look different!" I told him I'd lost over 70 pounds since that picture was taken, and he said, "I figured that was it. I almost carded you." (As in, "Let me see you drivers license"...not the under "21" kind of card -- LOL)

He made my day, I took a nap this afternoon and woke up feeling much better. Today's score was NSV 1, Scale 0...but the NSV made all the difference in the world today.

Carmel,

How awesome! I've just started showing people that didn't see me at my largest weight, my "Fat" Pics.

I'm 75lbs down, close to you, and the compliments are just amazing! I haven't updated my ticker yet.. lol

I think its great that you are getting that too!

Keep up the good work!!

That's great, Carmel. And I have one of those cards, too; I love it because if they ask for ID I can just tell 'em to look on the back.
