I feel Horrible!!

Postby fatfree » July 28th, 2005, 6:13 pm

Hi Everyone

I feel soooooooo bad :brickwall:
I messed up today! I t all started because we had a breakfast meeting at work today.......and wouldnt you know it was at my FAVORITE RESTRAUNT!!?? So needless to say it didnt take much arm twisting to get me to eat huevos rancheros :dooh:
Then I was even more stupid and ate lunch later too!!
I need HELP!!! At first I was like ...okay...this aint too bad, its just a little slip up, but as the day wears on I am just beating myself up and feel so bad and actually I feel ashamed. Why did I do such a dumb thing? It is not that hard to stay on medifast at all.
Now I have probably gained 5 pounds :x
I am so bummed out.

fatfree,

Don't beat yourself up over this, everyone has slipps. I went out to a going away happy hour for a friend that is moving next week with the intent of eatting a bar before I went and just drinking a diet soda. Well after a hectic day everything was thrown off and I ended up having a couple of drinks and a few appitiser bites. It happons, it happons to everyone at some point or another, we just pick ourselves up, and releaze that life and medifast go on. Aside from feeling guilty you probably are feeling yucky physically, drained, and bloated. Remember that feeling and use it next time you are tempted. After being on Medifast for a while, reverting to your old eatting habits just is uncomfortable. Let it go and think of this as a learning experance. Your not a failure. Get a copy of Success in a Shaker Jar and read it when you feel like this.

We are all here to help you through the tough times.

Fatfree - tomorrow is a new day. Put today behind you. I seriously doubt five pounds and whatever has happened is not beyond your ability to correct it. We are here for you and if anyone understands we do. Begin a new and let it go. YOU CAN DO THIS - I promise. Mytime

FATFREE--
You have taken the 1st step by coming here and telling us what happened... All I can say is it's over.. now with that said let's remember that tomorrow is another day.. just wipe the slate clean and begin again.. You probably didn't gain 5 # but if you are feeling drab and bloated then you are probably holding fluids again.. this happens when we eat the really salty things that are not good for us.. It will be okay :D I hope oyu don't wait another day.. get right back on the MF train and begin again.. Remember how you are feeling today and hopefully it will help keep it from happening again.. keep a few Sfree candies in your purse and suck on them when needed--It helps.. My problem use to be that once I cheated or slipped up I would just say I will start again tomorrow and then I wouldn't because something else came up.. DON"T let this happen to you..You have come to far already to turn back now..YOU CAN DO THIS and we are all here if you need us.. have a good week..Martha

buffybegood, aphrael, martha, want to be healthy

Thank you sooo much for the words of encouragement, you dont know how much it helped me!!! I have since been totally compliant and am back on track!
You all are truely a blessing, without you I might have quit for good, that is what always happened to me in the past. I would be going along fine and then I would slip and I could never get back on track because I had such a feeling of failure and that would make me depressed and of course that would make me eat more!! I am so glad I found this support group!

Anyways I hope that I will get the chance in the future to help you like you have helped me.

Nancy

Thanks! You are my role model :trophy:
I am not much for writing or journaling but I took your advice and wrote down how I felt after the "slip" and I am sure it will come in handy in the future!! Those overeating urges dont vanish without a trace, they seem to have a nasty way of coming back when you least expect it. But now I am prepared!! Thanks a Bunch for the advice and thank you from the bottom of my heart for developing this web site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
