Early Wiegh in

Postby BSmith » March 5th, 2005, 6:58 pm

Hello All! I am going to wiegh in early as I will be away of the computer tomorrow most of the day.

My first week is completed and I have lost 4lbs. Not as much as I would have like to loose my first week, but am so glad to loose something. In fact I am extatic to have actually lost wieght! It has been years and many diets and no weight loss, just a gradual year by year gain...

This plan is working great, I am hardly ever hungry, have more energy than I have had in a very long time and am not craving sweets.

Blessings to all! :)

I can't really participate in these until I get a better scale. My current one is marked like this:

|......|......|
0 10 20

And it's almost impossible to tell exactly what it is. When I started it was between 250 and 260. Last week it was between 240 and 250, and right now it's sort of closer to 240 than 230. I have to corner my mother and make her give me her fancy scale. :)

Hi everyone :D
Well, I couldn't find where I posted for last week ( I must have put under some other file by mistake  ), so going from the week before, I have lost 11 more lbs, being a grand total of...................

31.3!!! ( in 6 weeks!)Image

Hope you all do well too,

Gabby.
302/270/154
6 weeks so far

P.S.guess what?....it's a shameful secret  . I never had a bicycle as a child  and I am now learning to ride one, all 270.7 lbs of me!! It's a bit scary and I gave up for a few weeks, but got back on this afternoon, and it was really fun!! Woo hoo
I am still practicing starting and stopping (I tend to have to crash land to stop!) but once I get going I love it!

That is so great Gabby! My mother never learned to ride a bike until she was in her 50's! She now LOVES it and my dad and her ride every day. And excellent on the weight loss too!

4 lbs is great BSmith. Keep going!

Get yourself a good scale Kauket! But it appears you really are losing! Great job!

I am posting a minor 1 lb loss this week. I am not too bummed bec. I have read so many places that those in my similar situation (less than 100 lbs to lose) have had a major slow down in weeks 4 and 5 as the body tried to readjust. So I am going to push through and actually be thankful for even 1 lb!!

I did feel kind of nervous about a salad I had for lunch on Fri. I had a business lunch and ordered a barbeque chicken salad. I ate none of the crunchy stuff, made sure the chicken was not breaded/fried. But there was some beans and corn in there that I may have not been able to get around and I'm not 100% that the BBQ sauce was not going to push me out of ketosis. I ate just a little, but again, may have been more than 1 cup. But I am not stressing over it as I did not "cheat" in the emotional sense of the word. I just think I need to be more careful. Unfortunately I have 3 business lunches this week. But knowing where they are I may have an option of a house/side salad at these places.

Anyway, I'll be looking for everyone else's great success today! Happy Sunday!

Good morning and congrats to you all!!! Way to go! I'm so happy to see so many of our new members posting in the Sunday Roll Call. It's such a good way to keep yourself accountable!

This is week 7 for me - i'm posting a 2.8 pound weight loss for the week - that puts me at 21 pounds exactly. (I hit the 20 # club yesterday and was just ecstatic!)

Good luck to the rest of you still coming in to post!

Good morning all.

Hip ....... hip...........hooray for all you big losers this week. :cleader:
Never felt so good to be called a loser, did it?

Donna, you've got a great attitude about your 1 pound loss. That's the way to be thinking for sure. It sounds like you handled the salad thing just right, sometimes there's only so much you can do. I have been in similar situations a couple of times, but have asked for just the chicken and greens and it hasn't been a problem. I don't know where you are eating, but that might work for you.

I too have had a good week. After staying the same last week due to a visit from Aunt Flo, I'm very happy to post a 4 pound loss this week. I sure do love it when that scale moves the right direction :)

Happy shakin everyone.......have a great week!!

BSmith and Kauket you are both doing Great!! Isn't it fun to see those numbers go DOWN on the scale!!

Doglover, A pound gone is still a LOSS!! You are right about your body readjusting! I know next week will be a bigger loss for you, and don't forget to check those inches lost!
Spunky, SUPERB!!! 10 pounds gone!! WOOHOO!! Keep it up!!
Scrabbler, Great job!! You are in the 20 pound club!! WOOHOOOOO!!!
I am SO happy for you!!!

As for me I lost 3.3 pounds this week and am at 79.8 pounds lost !!
Tomorrow will be my official 20th week and I am hoping to have lost that measly little .2 lbs so that tomorrow I can enter the 80 pound club!
I am going to take my bike out today and have a fun ride and that will probably push me over that 80 pound hurdle!!
We are leaving for Florida on Thusday and yesterday I went shopping for
summer clothes as I had NOTHING that fit, and I bought size 16 people!!!
I am amazed by that!! I started this diet squeezing into size 28!!!!

Mary, you are such an inspiration! You GO, girl!

I'm happy. I'm down another 3.0 this week, and yesterday I wore a pair of jeans that date back to my law school days. :) That's 37 pounds in 9 weeks.

Happy shaking!

Wow....Everyone one is doing great !!
Aussie girl, I too am riding a bike..I know that I can really feel it today. I did'nt realize how many roads in my little town went up !!! Sometimes I have to get off and push, but I guess thats okay. My goal is to make it around town, without getting off to push it. I had to get a new seat, the one that came with was so skinny... Wow it hurt. Anyways...everyone keep up the good work. I had a 4lb loss this week, making me 44 lbs lighter in 9 weeks!!
