Congrats Tony! I'd ask you to wait around for me, but I'll be there soon enough. Hope you find your goal happiness soon! I too think I will shoot for 175-180 but I still plan to evaluate at 200 and see where I am. 200 lbs doesn't seem so far off now.

I don't know, maybe it is just the finality of it all, but I still don't feel small or lost that spare tire!! :)

I know that. I just put on a medium t-shirt yesterday that looked smaller than I would be able to fit into...by far! and I actually fit and well. I don't see myself as small or slim yet, but I know I have lost a lot.

The finality scares me too. I don't know how I am going to be when I get to my goal.

Wow Tony - u are an inspiration - what a great result. That is a massive loss in such a short time really - May to Jan - its only 7 months and you are looking so good.

I think that is a great idea reassessing the weight drop - I diod the same and I am only starting - I was heading for 85kgs but my BMI chart says I should be 75kgs so I've rejigged the plan to that level.

I would be inerested in knowing what you average per week has been and whether it has been a constant drop or if the weight loss starts to slow down once you get closer to goal?

Kind regards

Gavin

Tony, you are doing so very well!
I can relate to the goal change thing; I set mine conservatively high but find myself lowering my numbers on an on-going basis.
See you in the Maintenance Club soon!

Thanks Amber and you are doing quite well yourself!!

Gavin....At first I was averaging 5.5 pounds (I am KG illiterate!! :) ) per week, but to put it in perspective November I lost 11 pounds, December I lost 7 pounds, and I might add that I really didn't fall off the wagon during the holidays here, but this month I think I have lost 10 pounds so I think once you get closer to goal your body starts to readjust to everything and you start to slow down quite drastically. I will try and get a break down of per week what I had lost!

Wow!

5.5 lbs is 2.5 kgs 2.2lbs in a kg) - that is an incredible achievement as an overall average - you must have been totally compliant.

That gives me much hope and encouragement for the future - I was hoping for around 2kg (4.4lbs) a week and planning on 1.6 kgs per week (3.5lbs) so I am within my expectations if I can achieve what you have achieved.

I have started a bike riding plan as well - this weekend I did two rides of around 13 miles (hehehehe - I show my age - I was brought up in the days of lbs and miles hence I can work in both) and have a plan for 4 such rides a week. I think I read somewhere that you also did a bit exercise on your journey?

As I said, you are really an inspiration and have shown how well the program works if you are compliant - did you do the 5 + LG?

Kind regards

Gavin

I have been totally compliant!! If I cheat it would be taking 1 bite of something and then walking away from it! It isn't worth the pain of going through the 3 days of trying to get back into ketosis!

I pretty much walk at least 1.5 miles a day for my exercise and sometimes I even do 2 miles. I have even started joggin some, not much because the lungs aren't completely ready for it, but I try!

If you haven't been exercising before you started your weight loss journey then I would suggest for the first 2 weeks to not exercise. I know it is a tough thing NOT to do when you see great results!

I do the 5 and 1 program and stick to it like glue!!
