Depressed today

Postby BoPeep1 » April 13th, 2006, 12:16 pm

I haven't lost a pound since Sunday. I'm following the diet plan to the letter. This is only my second week, I'm starting to think that MF won't work for me. Has this happened to anyone else?

Brandi~ don't give up! :hugblue: I made the mistake of getting on my scale last week before Sunday's roll call and I hadn't lost anything either. I got hubby to hide the scale and get it out for me on Sunday morning. I stepped on it and wha-la! :yay: I lost about 4 pounds!

You are following the program, you are doing what you are supposed to -- stick to it, the weight will come off!

Don't be discouraged. If we follow the program, it works! Faster for some people, slower for others, and the scale can have a bad habit of going in spurts (for me, at least), but the weight will come off.

HI Unca!

My day goes like this (5&1):

8am - shake
11am - shake
2pm - shake
5pm - bar
7pm - L&G (usually a veggie burger and salad)
9pm - soup

I drink about 8 ounces of water on the hour every hour.

I am on a medication called Lamictal - my doc said he's seen people lose weight on this medication.

Stress is minimal, I work from home, but this week has been a really easy week with the holiday coming.

Your schedule looks alright to me but I am unsure of the Nutritional info regarding the veggie burgers. If you follow the program the weight should come off.

Keep the Medifaith!

Looks like you've got a great schedule and doing everything right.

I'd have to vote with the others. Keep on plan and the weight should come off.

Pretty interesting med you're taking. Seems to react with lots of things, from a quick search on the net.

Hi Brandi,
Just keep doing what you are doing! :)

I am on many medications, some of which, will most likely be discontinued as I go along on MF, others will have dosages decreased.
My first week on MF, I lost 10 lbs. Then, like you, the second week, I did not see a loss, until the very end of the week, and another pound was gone forever. I have lost another lb this week, thus far, also.

Everyone loses at a different rate, but on MF, you are sure to lose weight, however fast or slow that may be. Bottom line is: this program works, and if my medications are slowing me down, that is fine, because, I know that if I have patience, determination and the absolutely wonderful people on this site, encouraging me, I cannot lose anything but the unhealthy pounds! Good luck and keep going!!!

Hi Brandi!

I can't help you with the medication, but I implore you to be patient! My first month, I didn't lose ANY weight until the last day of the week. If I was on the scale every day, I'd be depressed all week, then ecstatic!

Stick with it! It'll work for you! Give it a chance! Give it a month. That's the promise I made to myself and my one month total was 26lbs!

You'll get there!
