That's kinda what happened to me, too! My middle just didn't keep up with the rest of me. Sigh. Frustrating, isn't it?

And good job on the salad. Probably just salt, and you'll be fine in a day or so. I'm jealous that you went to a game, though. I pretty much never get to go anymore. (And come to think of it, the last time I went to a game was with a good friend and her boyfriend. And they broke up later that night.)

Smarti, I re-started so many times, everyone thought I was a broken record that would just post garbage once a month! LOL! At least I'm being consistent this time!

Dogma, my tix are UEcker seats (so I could afford two), so no need to be jealous there!

Hi everyone. Although my losses on the scale wasn't huge this week (I flew 4 times and always retain when I fly)...I'm pleased as punch to report that I crossed a very important milestone....my 2.4lb loss this week brings me squarely into the 80# club!

Yay!

Hope everyone has a GREAT week! I'm measuring everything and being really careful this week just to see if not measuring my L & G as well as I should and having a MF snack (soy crisps) is what has been keeping my losses in the 2lb a week range instead of the 3lb range I used to enjoy last time I was losing on MF!

Let's keep shakin' together!

WTG Dede! 80# is absolutely awesome!!

Are you liking the pilates class? When I started going to the gym 2-3 years ago, they had a pilates class and I was curious. My trainer didn't really recommend it as it can be bad on your neck and back muscles. She recommended me to the power class (weight lifting to music with free weights.... I actually loved that!!) and the spinning class. OK kids! Spinning is NOT for me. I cannot ride a bike for 60 minutes even in the best of shape, standing up/sitting down... and O M G those seats are not comfortable. I really don't know how the guys can do it - cuz I was having problems - haha. Oops lost my focus there... it just came back like a bad dream. Anyway, Dede, the pilates class? Are you toning? Is your neck/back ok? It just looks interesting.

Interesting about the spinning. Some folks at work keep telling me how much fun it is, but it just looks painful to me.

And DeDe, a big CONGRATS on the 80 pounds. That's awesome!! (And hey, 2 pounds a week is still great. You know it slows down as you get closer, right?)

Actually, it's not a class. I have a pilates performer machine and DVD's. I'm not really a gym or a class girl!

I did find a bike on craigslist for cheap, so I might buy that and make myself ride the bike while I'm watching my TV shows when I'm home! Every little bit helps!

A stationary bike would be great. I do use those at the gym. It's a great cardio workout in addition to working on the quads and butt. It's the spinning class that is murder...ugh! I'd rather be beat with a stick.

I'm thinking in about 10-15 more pounds, I'll start back up with the power class. It's an all-around good weightlifting program and it put me in probably the best shape I have ever been in.

I'm still curious about the pilates class. I just don't want to embarrass myself cuz I can't bend like the others.... I might get stuck!

Well,
I had an "incident" yesterday.

Tuesday, a friend came over and I was "de-cluttering" upstairs. She had me get rid of a lot of stuff.

So, Wednesday I was taking my "donations" to be dropped off and freaked about giving away some of my junk. On the way home, I stopped to get my daily diet caffeine fix and before I knew it, had scarfed a chocolate donut! I got rigt back on plan, but was bummed at myself for going straight from stressed to baked goods! What, the donut made the stress go away? NO!

So, this morning, I woke up 3lbs heavier and am being extra good today. Just when I think I'm learning...that food isn't a comforting factor. I know that this will be a fight for my whole life and that's just the way it is.

I'm up for the fight! When I slip, my ONLY goal now is to get right back on 3 hours later and not turn a slip into a slide!

Wish me luck!

DeDe, you know you didn't gain 3 pounds from eating one doughnut. That would have to be a mighty big doughnut!!

It may be a battle forever, but it WILL get easier. It takes practice, like anything else.

DeDe, I messed up several times this past week. Today is a clean slate and we both need to look forward and not back. But I am with you...it rots that I continue to do this to myself.
