Aw, I've been there. But think of how much HAPPIER you'll be when you weigh tomorrow, and you're back down again. It's OK to be grouchy about it, as long as you don't comfort yourself with food.

Thanks Robin, I feel so silly about letting it bum me out, but it hasn't led me to Taco Bell yet, so I'm doing okay!

Hi Karli! GREAT to see you!

I'm sucking down my water, trying to help push it out...that along with having some minor sandbox issues (or lack of issues) LOL!

Chin up Dede.......you 'know' this is temporary and that the scale is a fickle nasty bit of metal. ;) Don't let the darn thing get you down.

Oh hun, I can relate to those feelings. The darn scale should not have that much control over our emotions, however we are human. Hang in there, I'm sure the two pounds will be gone in no time plus two more! Be strong!!!:)
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Start Weight 326.7 ~ My short term goal will put me at 250!

Started June 19th 2008. First Mini Goal 76.7 pounds.

Thanks T, Karli and Sharon!

I feel kind of silly for having the equivalent of a tizzy fit (sp?), but I'm happy to report a 3 lb loss this week, bringing me to 194.6! This puts me BACK in the 70# club! Woo hoo! I'm flying tomorrow and PROMISE that I will TRY not to have another hissy fit about water weight gain, mostly because I won't have access to a scale! LOL! I'm conditoned to see the scale cooperating if I'm compliant with the program and when the scale is being mean, I turn into a big baby! LOL!

Now, the bad news...my only a portion of my BeSlim order (bars) arrived, so I have NO RTD's! Yikes! I'll be traveling all week and will need to scrounge the back of my cupboards to make shaker jar meals! It's not something I usually do on the road (I usually do 3 RTD's, a bar and either an oatmeal or a pudding while traveling for my 5 MF meals plus a L & G of course), but I'll make do! The worse news, I only have vanilla 55 shakes and they are by no means my favorite! I'm not going to let this setback affect my losses, period!

The other not-so-good thing...I was only on my Fluidity bar 2 days this week, I really need to make daily exercise a habit and am making a deal with myself that I will have exercise to post on TSFL support in motion at least FOUR days this week!

Anyway, I'm done rambling, am doing well and hope everyone else is too! Let's have a great week and shake it 'till it's gone!

Hey Dede - thanks for stopping by my journal. I was feeling pretty down about not being on plan, but your comment lifted my spirits. Looks like you are on a roll so far. Don't let the little things get ya down. As they say "Keep your eyes on the prize"! I know you can do it.

Good for you for making what cha got on hand work for you! I've done that, too - ran out of all my favorite stuff - and I have to admit I strayed quite a bit 'til I got a new shipment back in. (I always over-order now) It's great that you're making it work for you!

Hi

Postby dede4wd » August 21st, 2008, 3:20 pm

Sorry I've been AWOL. Work has been awful, some family stuff, some personal stuff. I did self-medicate with junk food. I'm not going to tell another "DeDe fell off the wagon" story. It's been done ad nauseum!

I had a serious revelation a few nights back. I realized all those above things are out of my control for the most part. The only thing I CAN control is what I put in my mouth and not having mood swings due to sugar crashes. I can control not feeling bad about myself because I'm upset about work or my family or whatever and going to the store to get Mac & Cheese and cupcakes. I can control THIS. And to be honest, it feels kind of good to be in control of ONE thing in this out of control world I live in!

So here I am, doing well mid-way through day 3 and hope to be back at my ticker weight by roll call!

Thanks for checking in on me!

Oh, one other thing...I'm giving myself a lttle carrot to chase! I'm 61 days away from a trip to Florida with a group of my online friends. So, I've set a ridiculously ambitious goal of 30lbs in 65 days. I always do better with a carrot to chase and even if I don't reach my goal, I'll be better off than I was! It's already working...I keep catching myself saying "drink you extra water, you have a goal" and "take the bacon bits off that packaged salad, you have a goal".

Hi, DeDe !

Happy you are back :). One thing I have noticed is that this project of losing (and maintaining the loss) this weight is taking on new meaning as I start to think about how much time (and ups and downs (!!!)) has gone by since I started with MF. In some ways it's good, I think. It's like, I think I have gone through just about every excuse in my own personal life that I can think of -- and over and over again -- as to why I should go off (and every kind of reaction to actually going off), and some part of me feels like I am becoming a veteran of some sort ... hee hee. No matter what, whether the program is easy or not, it does take mental work and commitment to oneself, and this is something I have always known, I think I just appreciate what that means a little more now. You definitely know how this all works !

I am just wanting to send you some good vibes today ! Hope all is well :).
